Just think about it....almost every issue that was made HUGE by the MSM has its own problems with the real world, or what is actually true. Goes back to the Viet Nam War, so about 45 years or so (got our first TV in 1963)they have been giving the American people only their side of an issue. Recently, they forgot to point out that President Bush's SS reform would be VOLUNTARY.

I personally liked the SNL joke about Katie replacing Rather- How about letting the rest of us in on it?

Yeah, Jimmy done it, no, right, it was Karl Rove, man I seen him do it, tell him, Jimmy, tell Karl Rove done it.

Think Angel Martin in front of a major hood, trying the lay all the heat on Jimmy. Only a not as gifted con man.Great analogy! God I miss that show. To me it was the best written of of that genre.

It's what I said--that Katie is the choice for those who like their "news" delivered with a lot of awkward flirting.

God I miss that show. Get satellite with TiVo before they run out. Record it twice a day on WGN, Chicago. I'll watch any episode in which Angel has a major role.

Look, weve made mistakes in the past. Somebody wrote in the paper the other day that I was, quote, boneheaded. Well, of course, its a matter of record Im boneheaded, said, well, this is bizarre. Well, of course Im bizarre, you know, weve known that for a long time...Somebody, I dont know if he put it exactly this way, but he said, well, you know, its a dumb-ass thing hes doing. Well, you know, Ive been a dumb-ass all my life.
On the July 19, 2001 Imus in the Morning discussing the CBS Evening Newss near-blackout of the scandal surrounding Democratic Congressman Gary Condit.
Finally...the truth from Rather!

But but Ken Auletta (whoever the heck he is) said to Charlie Rose last night.......the documents are not false.....the independent report did not say they were false and they did not find any bias.
The entire story is true.

the MSM did not celebrate Dan's coments on being
"boneheaded"
the MSM has not said squat about the controversy of
his FAKED documents-

Nearing the end of his life Grant finished an autobiography (not limited to his presidential years, it is true) to make money to support his family. He was nearly broke at the time.
Shortly afterwards, he died, of throat cancer. Even if you disliked him--and I did like him--you have to admire him for this heroic feat. The pain must have been awful.

The pain must have been awful. US Grant is my personal favorite person in history. Normally, I avoid memoirs like they contain live scorpions. Normally, memoirs are so boring that (to steal a line)...Oh, you're reading those memoirs? Here's a gun so you can blow your brains out. You'll thank me for it. I deliberately skipped his memoirs for fear of hating them.
One day I desperately needed something to read and started his book and couldn't put it down.
Grant's memoirs are probably in the top ten or so books I ever read. He didn't provide the yard stick to measure other memoirs against. He provided the tower of life to measure other memoirs. So far the others have been found wanting.
