WASHINGTON -- Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton called Tuesday for tougher punishment against Syria, saying the country was aggressively supporting terrorism in the "dangerous neighborhood" of the Middle East.
In lambasting Syria, Clinton joined a growing chorus of officials in Washington urging the United States to take a harsher stance against that country following a Feb. 14 bombing in Beirut that killed the former premier of Lebanon.

You can bet she would not urge that anything be done about Syria if she thought Bush would do it. No percentage in doing that. Look at history.
Bush invaded Afghanistan, and the Dems said that he was a fool because Iraq was the real problem. So he invaded Iraq. Then they said he was a fool because Iran and Syria are the real problem. They obviously did not expect him to invade Iraq, and they don't now expect him to invade Syria. They aren't so sure about Iran, as evidenced by the fact that the Dems have stopped talking about Iran.
Maybe Her Heinous threatened Bashir Asaad with her fetid panties..
The only truly sincere position Hillary Clinton has ever taken in public is her favor for inefficient, Canadian-styled government-controlled healthcare.
Almost everything else that has escaped the Hildabeast's mouth is a lie, spoken to appeal to this constituancy or that, because of this poll or that. She is a huge Marxist fraud with an almost frightening political skill, including her incredibly deliberate and disciplined plan to fake a move to the "center" 3 years prior to her Presidential run.
And if you want to know Clinton's REAL attitude towards Islamic terror, all you have to do is remind yourself that she was one of the chief architects of the "Kosovo War" in 1999, a conflict that saw this country unjustly and outrageously attacking Serbia (who posed no threat to our national security whatsoever) in DEFENSE of the OBL funded KLA terrorist group.
I'd say it is frightening and all too familiar for me, to watch a sociopath shed his/her skin.
What is even worse is that people will buy this crap...
How's this going to affect the vote in the Vermont Town Meetings?
Wonderfully stated, RAtL04.
There's that big juicy on Suwa.
Perhaps she would volunteer to walk around Syria naked for a while.
Can't she just SHUT UP!
HRC's mission: Bury the news out of Lebanon and highlight a message of a Middle East out of control and dangerous.
It IS dangerous, but her "we need to send a message" is so offensive.
President Bush did send a message and it was and is clearly being received and understood.
She is trying to undermine the good.
She was followed to the stage by Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who hinted that Syrian President Bashar Assad may find it difficult to hold onto power amid the push for greater democracy in neighboring Lebanon.
I'll bet McConnell more than hinted, but Newsday's involved in the Plame game, so what can you expect from them and the tack and tone they will take.
Jennifer Griffin on Fox said the crowds are exhilarated with their success and are aiming for the president to step down next and have been chanting his name and saying "you're next".
More prayers heading their way for success.
Then they'll need to build an aspirin factory I'm sure.
Hah! DU knows she's saying all these things with a wink and a nod.
Most Americans have seemingly all but forgotten the tragic blunder the Clintoons made in Kosovo and Serbia 6 years ago, but the 1,000 Serbs and 1,000 Albanians killed in that region's NATO-(un-) supervised chaos since the July, '99 end of the bombings speak a different truth (one the MSM has tried to downplay and ignore since the very start in their ongoing attempts to portray Clinton as a strong wartime president, etc., blah). FReepers need to do our best to keep the truth about that phony war alive, and to educate the public about Hillary's key role in the whole sorry-assed mess.
