Moore also differs sharply from the five major candidates in his stance on illegal immigration. He thinks the city should take an active role in pursuing and deporting illegal immigrants.
"Am I just mean?" he asked. "Am I racist? No. Illegal immigration is bankrupting us."
In a video spot on his website, he bluntly states: "I don't speak Spanish, and I don't intend to learn."
When Moore began talking about immigration on a radio debate last week, he accomplished something unusual: He forced Hahn and some of his challengers to admit that they agree with one another.

(Denny Crane: "There are two places to find the truth. First God and then Fox News.")
He didn't cut the mustard, too conservative, I betcha.
Hahn is better than the alternatives... Devil ya know...

I didn't hear the radio debate, but the article seemed only to say Hahn and the other major candidates agreed with each other on immigration, not that Hahn agreed with Moore.
People continue to read your totally unrelated "Denny Crane" commentary over and over and over because they think it is the next line in your post. I've seen how many people have brought this to your attention in other threads as a gentle courtesy request.

Simply use this HTML format above and substitute < and > for the [ brackets ] and your new tagline would look like everything shown in gray font below:
Denny Crane: "There are two places to find the truth. First God and then Fox News."
God knows that it makes long threads easier to read when FReepers format repetitive "signature" information.

It appears Alarcon, Hahn, Hertzberg, Parks, and Villaraigosa all agree with each other on immigration, and they all disagree with Moore that LA City should pursue and deport illegal aliens.
Since Moore is not one of the top 5 candidates (the media arbitrarily decided to annoint those Democrats as the only candidates to consider), the county GOP didn't endorse him, and the top 5 all think the same way on immigration, he's very unlikely to win enough support to bring any serious attention to the subject.
They did not allow him to try to cut the mustard. He would have saved the day for the Party.
I did not know that Republicans were allowed to live openly and freely in LA (and SF); I thought the city charter prohibited that and that is why the Republican Party did not want to make waves by endorsing a Republican. I think the party-goers Boyds, the owners of the (underground?) Republican party want to keep a low profile lest they are deported back to Orange county.
