CHICAGO (AP) -- Authorities found two bodies at the home of a federal judge Monday night, and Chicago police and the FBI were investigating. The bodies were found at the home of U.S. District Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow, but the judge was uninjured, police spokesman Patrick Camden said.
He declined to elaborate.
FBI agents were assisting police but would provide no details.

I hate to say this, but all of the cross-posting and questions about dates and names, reminds me of listening to my mother and her bridge buddies talking while playing cards---
There were always 2-3 conversations going, and one person would answer a question that was asked 10 minutes earlier and no one knew what she was talking about and it would start all over---
Carry on...
This is not a critisizm, mind you, I love it--it is just like a family talks ---

Doesn't sound good. And they don't have the death penalty in Illinois anymore. Since it wasn't the judge, the federal death penalty probably doesn't apply.

Chicago Tribune online says Lefkow's husband and her mother's bodies were found. The federal judge whom white supremacist Matthew Hale attempted to have murdered found her husband and mother lying dead in her house when she returned home Monday night, police said. Judge Joan H. Lefkow returned to her house in the 5200 block of North Lakewood Avenue after work and found the bodies of her husband, attorney Michael F. Lefkow and her mother, Donna Humphrey, lying in blood in the house, police said.

You were the first to solve the case.

Also from the Chicago Tribune:
"The Lefkows married in 1975 and have four daughters."
Prayers for them all.

The two people a woman is usually closest to, her husband and her mother.....Someone really hated this woman.....
Prayers that she feels God's presence.

"lying in blood in the house" I assume that is fresh blood or they would have said dried blood.

OMG, I can't even imagine what that poor woman must be going through. Thank God she had daughters to help her through this.

I just realized that my only post on this thread was "The Magnificent"....... sounded kinda cold......
This is really a horrible situation, and this woman needs our prayer.

At least she has four daughters, that would be an enormous comfort. But she is 62, imagine this happening at any age but that age. You are getting older and suddenly, in a flash, your mother and your husband gone. This is horrible.

Hehe. Thanks though I can't get much joy out of something like this. When I heard Greta Van Susteren announce this woman's name I got a chill.

Borges, you are the Buckhead of the evening.
Anyone reading that would think dirty thoughts.
But you nailed it unless her husband the criminal lawyer had a dissatisfied client.
