You got preeped :)
Not that delivery people etc./help do not have access; but perhaps some cameras at least to help in finding the perp of this crime.
A wife. . .four daughters. . .loved ones et al. . .
I guess murderers realize how many victims they really take. .
Thank you, harrowup. No one deserves to be murdered, or to have that horrible experience this woman has had. She must be going through the worst hell!
Most here pray for her and her daughters, as well as any other family and friends.
From what I can tell he's been held without bail but his sentencing was postponed.
November 10, 2004 The judge has postponed indefinitely Hale's sentencing, which had been scheduled for November 15, pending the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on U.S. v. Booker and U.S. v. Fanfan, which question whether judges may increase sentences based on aggravating circumstances not presented to the jury (federal prosecutors in the Hale case are seeking such an enhanced sentence). http://crime.allinfoabout.com/old/hale/trial.html
It's times like these when anti-death-penalty types like myself really have a problem. I still don't favor executing criminals, but...
Am I reading the article correctly? Doesn't it say the judge ruled in favor of Hale on the name of the "church"? And it was overturned by Oregon court? Why did he want her dead?
I do wonder if there was security. But people cannot live behind a security system all the time.
I have a nephew who lived in Montana for a long time. He told me these groups, these white supremist Nazi like groups, are terrifying. I did not know there were many of them in Illinois. But something about them makes me turn my head away, I guess I need to get over it and find out more about them. They do scare me.

Hale has been found guilty of one count of solictation to murder (and acquitted on a second count), and guilty on all three counts of obstruction of justice. No sentencing date has been set, but he could face 20 years on the solicitation count, and 10 years for each obstruction count. The defense plans to appeal.

AFter that ruling, the case came back to her and she told them to give up the trademark at which time this guy tried to get her killed. I think that is what she is sentencing him for but I might be wrong. you would think another judge would do that since this Judge would be prejudiced. But I don't know.
Doesn't apply to this post anyway, just a curious question.
More to the point.....prayers to the family.
Sort of.

Longer, yes, but not that much longer.
Several years ago, Oregon's Te-Ta-Ma Truth Foundation trademarked the name "Church of the Creator". On November 19, 2002, following a year of legal battles between the two organizations, U.S. District Court Judge Joan H. Lefkow issued an injunction prohibiting the World Church of the Creator from using any variation of the name -- including using the words "Church" and "Creator" in the same phrase -- in any manner. Hale was ordered to turn his ownership of churchofthecreator.com to the Foundation. Hale refused to comply and on December 13, Judge Lefkow ordered him to show why he shouldn't be held in contempt. http://crime.allinfoabout.com/old/hale/trial.html
Those Angels are there, no doubt. Her mother must have been quite elderly, and somehow that makes it even more of a horror.
Almost three decades is "long before"....5 years would be "sort of". LOL
Maybe we should have a poll on that. :-)
Nope, there are many of here. :-)
Well I went to another Christian college - Liberty University. Founded 1971; I guess that would qualify as "very long after".
I know. Murders of old ladies always get me. They were so close to just leaving. Why subject them to horror after a lifetime of peace.
I guess any murder is equally horrible, but this one, well it hits in the heart in alot of ways. Have you ever noticed that, that some murders just seem worse than others even though you know it isn't the case.
She fined them $1,000 a day and ordered them to give up their membership list.
I predict we will hear alot more about this group. Imagine being the judge who is asked to take this case.
