A nationwide poll conducted last week by the Siena College Research Institute said more than six in 10 voters believes the United States is ready for a woman president in 2008. Translation: President Hillary.
But Hillary is no dummy. She knows that if she has any hope of becoming president, she can't say such things. To win, she must steal away votes from the red states and the common-sense folks who voted for Bush which means she has to conceal what she really thinks about governing.
Lately, she's been making Barry Goldwater sound like an FDR appointee. Just a few weeks ago she said she thought the abortion and anti-abortion people really do have lots in common. Last week, she sounded like the Gipper himself she she said we can't give a fixed pull-out date for our troops in Iraq because it would embolden terrorists.
Her strategy could work.
If she runs in 2008, she could hold every state John Kerry won a monkey could if he registers as a Democrat. All she'd have to count on is that a handful of voters in the other states will completely forget all the stuff she said and did when her husband was president.
I like Bill Clinton.
But I tremble at the though of what would happen if he becomes First Lady.
You may think I'm joking around here but I'm not. We've had no great scandals or embarrassments under Bush. Adults are working with other adults to face down many daunting adult problems. You may not agree with Bush's approach but do you really want to go back to the Clinton era.
I couldn't care less if our next president is a woman, just so long as she isn't Hillary.

"she could hold every state John Kerry won"
I don't agree with the author. Dean is going to syphon away a lot of the Kerry/Kennedy supporters - because Kerry/Kennedy/Dean HATE HILLARY. The hate-Bush crowd will go with Dean. That will really diminish Hillary's vote count.
I believe Hillary will dish out as much as she can to damage Dean - but Dean will have Kerry/Kennedy to damage Hillary.
And .. I heard somebody today say that Hillary cannot wait until after 2006 to get in the race because most of the money people will already be taken - I disagree - in 2000 Hillary called all HER MONEY PEOPLE and told them - DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO GORE.
I believe Hillary will pull the same stunt on Dean - and I suspect the dems who dissed Dean, and refused to meet with him in the last few days, have heard from Hillary already.
Start praying, the SHE DEVIL must be defeated at all cost!! I keep yelling it over and over again, the RNC can not stay quite any longer! This is a battle to the finish, and it has began! We must not FALL ASLEEP or the SHE DEVIL will indeed have ALL Americans fooled by the time 08 comes around! Every time a positive false articles comes out about her we must counter punch immediately!! It's gonna be a bruising hard fought battle! We need to start praying against the evil blinding spirits the VOMIT from Hell and her Pimp of a husband cast over Americans! God Help Us!
Just the thought of her in the White House scares the living S**T out of me. Condi Rice is the only hope I see. One thing for certain....if she is nominated there are going to be ALOT of nutcases sitting in their bunkers in places like Montana & Idaho oiling their guns

I understand that they only polled liberal women.
Some people need to make themselves aware that the USSS
can read and some expressed words are federal crimes.
FOR THE RECORD "It's early yet, but at this point I'd say the most likely next president of the United States is Hillary Clinton. I'm not saying the odds of a Clinton presidency are higher than 50%, just that they're higher than for any other individual. In part this reflects the weakness of the Democratic Party. Whereas the GOP has a surfeit of plausible candidates, Hillary stands tall because her party is almost entirely populated by vertically challenged diminutive-Americans.
She's charismatic when compared with Nancy Reid and Harry Pelosi. She's charming when compared with Barbara Boxer and Howard Dean. And her views are sensible, moderate and patriotic when compared with the cynical defeatism of John Kerry and the borderline anti-Americanism of Ted Kennedy." --James Taranto
POLITICAL FUTURES
"Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared at the Conservative Political Action conference in Washington on Saturday and by the time he left there was little doubt among the 4,000 attendees that he was running for president in 2008. Mr. Gingrich pushed just about every conservative hot button in a hard-charging 25-minute speech. He called for changing U.S. law so illegal aliens can be deported within 72 hours of their arrest, with the courts being prohibited from reviewing such deportations. ... Afterwards, audience members were convinced they had seen an early version of Mr. Gingrich's presidential stump speech." --John Fund
Anybody who would believe that poll would also buy the Brooklyn Bridge.
Let's take a look at the details of the polling done by the Siena College Research Institute if they'll make them public. If it's anything like a NY Times poll it will be weighed and spun so much that only a predicable desired result can be achieved.

And yes, that picture is the one of Hill kissing Suha Arafat ( "wife" of The Littlest Terrorist ) after Suha had accused the Israelis of poisoning Palestinian children...
My fears exactly.
