The ATM card of slain Jersey City Heights resident Hossam Armanious was used several times in the week after his death to withdraw thousands of dollars from his bank account, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward Defazio said yesterday.
The withdrawls, made on several occasions from banks in the Jersey City Heights and in mid-town Manhattan, continued for up to a week after the bodies of Armanious, his wife, Amal Garas, and their daughters, Sylvia and Monica, were found inside their Oakland Avenue apartment on Jan. 14.

I thought all ATM's had cameras?
And, if the cops knew it was a robbery, why didn't they notify the banks about this family's bank card and credit cards?
Typical, stealing from the dead to pay for more hate crimes.
Why not do so under any circumstances. The whole family was killed...seems logical to either stop the cards or be watching them closely for activity.
The prosecutor had 'no comment' on whether photos or videos of the ATM user exists.

Ya think? There is something strictly NOT KOSHER with this article. Who would let their family be tortured for an ATM code? What police force would fail to identify and monitor bank accounts? Would leave them unfrozen and unmonitored. And if they were monitored, why tip the hand now?
Seems as if the police do not want to apprehend the monsters responsible; fearing 'bigger problems'. . .could it be?
Justice demands more here; I hope New Jersey will deliver it.

I agree. Something stinks here--this "latest development" seemed extremely odd to me from the moment I heard it in the early morning news on 101.5 today.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
I still think this case is being seriously mishandled. It should have been broken wide open long since. They are obviously fearful of finding the culprits for political reasons.
Chief Moose had might as well be in charge.
I hope the cops were checking their bank records from day one!!
The Jersey Cops would do better if they let a few of the "Jersey Families" help with the search for the culprits.
Yes. After posting my previous comment I got to wondering about that. The murders were big news, locally. The bank where their accounts were couldn't possibly have missed these withdrawals and reported them to the police.
So, is there any reason why the police would keep these withdrawals a secret? I can't think of any. Unless possibly they didn't want to release the ATM video pictures to the public because they were politically incorrect.
Or possibly they wanted to wait until the video tapes were overwritten? Sometimes surveillance cameras recycle the tapes. They seem to be doing everything possible not to catch the perps or to tell the public whom they suspect.

Possible translation: investigator's discovery occured after the banks routinely purged their camera records. Say 30 days???
They're trying to build a case for robbery when the one daughter had a $3500. ring on her finger that wasn't taken.
This robbery angle started when the feds got involved.
What in the Sam Hill? I don't believe this for one second.
Since his wallet was empty, you would THINK that the police would have the bank set up an alarm that would immediately alert them when the account was accesseed.
I think they wanted this crime to fade from memory.
