Don't miss these.

Thank you. The pictures make it all so real. They're so powerful...I've just been in tears since wolfstar started posting them. This is one of those times that television can't begin to equal the power of photography.

Dog Gone, that's the only pic of her out there on Yahoo News Photos. Here's some other interesting ones, though.

Lebanese opposition protesters carrying Lebanese flags try to push through an army cordon during a demonstration in downtown Beirut Feruary 28, 2005.

They are protesting day and night.

People gather at the grave of slain former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri in downtown Beirut. UN-appointed experts sought clues into the murder of ex-premier Rafiq Hariri, as powerful neighbour Syria had yet to start a promised troop pullback under international pressure for a complete pullout.

I'm sorry, I know everyone is celebrating, but I'm very skeptical about Syria's motives. I just can't see them giving up Lebanon.

I suspect they will attempt to have a military-run government instead. The confluence of events in Iran do not portend Syria folding their hand right now. They can't possibly believe we're about to launch a war in Damascus in the near future (i.e. anytime this year), so it seems it would have made sense to leave the government in place UNLESS all they are doing is clearing the decks for a military junta to step in...

Thanks to all three of you for the answer to my question about the tree. Long may that lovely flag with the tree symbol wave over a reborn Lebanon free of Syrian tyrrany.

If they do stand and fight, all the better. :') Israel will then need to get right on 'em and not let up until the Lebanese terrorists are dead or fled.

I also wonder what al-Jazeera has to say about all of this. Along with American Democrats, maybe they are wearing all black on camera today.....

CNN International has been covering this non-stop for over an hour.

Don't get that on DirectTV. (Normally I'm glad.) I'd hang in there for dribbles from the other cable channels, but I just can't stand any more Jacko.

Are those Syrian troops?

The Yahoo News captions say variously that they are Lebanese army troops, or Lebanese police, or Lebanese special forces. However, I would take whatever Yahoo's captions say with a grain of salt. They frequently have to correct errors in their captions.

The tree is a cedar, a native tree to Lebanon and what the ancient pheonicians used to make their famous boats out of.
Unless I am wrong in which case I will have more coffee.

We pray that we are seeing the beginning of the end of Islamofascism and Islamo Terrorism.

Got to drain the swamp that is Saudi Arabia first. That one will be the trickiest of all.

This is one of those times that television can't begin to equal the power of photography.

Especially when TV doesn't really want to cover the story.
