These are historic times.

Thanks to a truly historic President.

Meantime, out in Hollyweird, they are still celebrating the 1960's.

It looks like perhaps the "coalition of the willing" can now be re-termed the "coalition of the winning".

Maybe Chrissy Matthews will admit the vision of the so-called 'Neo-cons' was correct?

Naw!

"Foxnews leads with Jacko, and covered the resignation of the Lebanese Government 12 minutes after the hour....."

Impossible, considering that the Left insists that FOX is nothing more than a shill for the Bush administration. How could FOX have delayed this opportunity to trumpet this apparent triumpgh of Bush's Mid-East policies?

This is so frustrating. I keep switching channels and very little reporting.

I have to leave in a few minutes for an appointment; if anyone could ping me to further developments in Lebanon it would be greatly appreciated.

The pictures of people demonstrating in the streets for freedom and democracy are very powerful. These great pictures from Beirut will have great effect on the whole of Middle East including Iran.

...it doesn't look like there's a way to stop it!

As GWB has always said, the desire for liberty is in every human heart. It sometimes just takes a spark (the Iraqi elections) to motivate people to demand their liberty.

"I want to see ALL of it, and the news is making me crazy because they are showing stuff that we don't NEED to be seeing!"

Yes....and that we don't WANT to be seeing!

We will take the advantage of American kindness, gullibility, and compassion. When time comes, we will stab them in the back. We will say one thing on the camera and teach another thing to our children at home. We will give subliminal messages to our children to uphold Islam at any cost. Our children in America will always care more about Islamic Country’s interest than US interest.

Hot Button Time!!!!

I think CNN's the only news net with a guy on the ground there, and CNN's sure not going to give this any more good press than they have to.

"The bomb that killed Harari finally woke them up all the way."

Especially how brutal the assaination was. Not a bullet, but a huge bomb that the bombers must knew would kill many.

I imagine the thinking was the UN resolution was coming to a head with the upcoming election. The assassination changed things.

A big turn was France's dropping of Syria for Lebanon. One story postulated the assassination was partly a message to Chirac, Hariri's buddy.
