Byrd was probably one, maybe Levin the other? or Teddy? But what did they do...threaten to filibuster the House version? Oh, I would like to have seen them have to actually do that, while Terri starved to death, rather than have her starve to death after the Senate caved in and brought forth a bill that the House CANNOT pass.
To me, it feels like they know it's not gonna work 'cause it was too narrow. Like they did it for show.
