re amendments: when I called sen nelson's ofc a while ago
202 - 224 - 5274
aide said he has introduced some changes as it is right now in discussions. as I understand it, and not sure if there's more, he wants to make it easier to people to make their end of life requests known, as organ donation is now.

i am hoping these changes might be in order to bring in more support.

with that in mind, I just called sen reid --
202 - 224 - 3542
and said my sen is trying to get other dems on board, please help bc needs to pass. it took 6 min on hold but i did get through while i typed this w/one hand!

I am calling other dem sens now as a floridian to get on board w/sen nelson.

When I called Senator Reid's ofc, after holding for a while, the young man said, "I agree with you" for what it's worth.

Harry Reid's # is 202-224-3542

Kent Conrad (Democrat) of North Dakota just asked them to speed up the process and requested anyone that had an amendment that could be tabled for another time, to please do that.

At the rate they were going, he said it would take till 2:30 this morning to finish. He didn't say it, but I think the calls are getting to them.
