Did some calling today. Yesterday sent emails (COAST TO COAST, GRETA)out.
I had some interesting conversations with some terrific and kind people in the Governor's office, the Attorney General's Office-Crist's, the Deputy Attorney General's office- George Le-Mieux's, the Florida House of Reps-Bense's office, and one very, very BAD experience talking to the receptionist (or whatever) at Bernie McCabe's office.
AT each phone call, I identified myself as an out of stater, because that is the truth. I asked if I might leave a message anyway relating to the Terri Schindler Shiavo case, and in every case, was able to except at McCabe's office. I will write about that in a moment.
I called because the article running in theEmpireJournal.com blew me out of the water.
I had not, until reading that article, that LONG article on Greer and politics and religion, EVER understood the sick connections Greer has with those whose JOB IT IS to investigate the likelihood of abuse and the DEFINITE NEGLECT that Terri has been forced to endure since forever.
I asked if they would please write down a website, would they consider doing it, knowing it is probably not done. With kindness and my heart hanging out there, I was able to get the online address (TheEmpireJournal.com) and the general name of the article out there (Still don't know the exact title....) Especially in Crist and Le Mieux's (sp?) office. Where I was put to someone who actually looked it up as we spoke, I didn't know the link, or the exact title, but this person, whose name I know but will withhold, found it !
I pray that this article receives attention from those with the power to utilize it to crush the corrupt web of deceit greer and his associates have used to shut down Terri's right to justice according to our constitution-----NOT JUST FLORIDA's STATE CONSTITUTION!
On to McCabe's office....
This icky experience was everything FV said it would be, and more.
When I asked if I could leave a message even tho I was an out of stater. She said it depends on what it is about. I told her Terri Schindler Shiavo, and that I understood Mr. McCabe was not taking messages about this case but I didn't believe it, she responded that I should believe it because they were NOT going to take any messages about Terri. I asked why and she snottily barked because McCabe has no jurisdiction in that case.
I asked how that could be, since he is a State Attorney General, covering Pinellas County, and she said because it is Judge Greer's business!
I said if there are criminal goings on that need to be investigated regarding this case, would that not make McCabe a part of it, that if the DCF cares, could not HE care....and she got nasty, flippant and rude..so I asked her if she minded that I was recording this conversation, and she said YES and HUNG UP.
I wasn't recording...but was about to...it happened fast.
SO I called Crist's office back and reported her response to me...saying that when people are crying out for action, and turning to the authorities they assume would be responsible, the very least that could be done was to take a message and remain neutral. The staffer in Crist's office agreed.
I received an email address to send to a person who will look into the McCabe staffer's nastiness.
OF my experiences on the phone today, the reception at Deputy Attorney General, George Le Meiux's (again, sp?) office was the absolute best in terms of courteousness and professionalism. I felt the people there cared.
Someone here on FR, or in a Freepmail (or perhaps from my email discussion group-ck-ing that one out too) once wrote that Le Meiux was a terrific man. This person is either a friend or business associate of his. I would VERY MUCH like to contact whoever that was if anyone here is that person or wrote that to me in a FReepmail...please contact me ASAP! THANKS!
