Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that men and women of good faith are gathering again this day to plead the life of this mother's child. Encourage the hearts of Terri's family, for surely they are beyond weary at the horror that continually is heaped upon their wounded one. May they be encouraged that a nation is rising up to defend her ... people of fame and people of obscurity alike are coming to her defense. Her name is known throughout the world ... the Vatican has spoken. Let this knowledge fall upon this family as a soft blanket, to give them warmth and comfort in the hours when they are alone with their agony.

Guide the events of this day ... this coming week ... that they reveal Your Hand in the affairs of men. We have taken unto ourselves to be arbiters of life, for we have forgotten, or ignored, that You are the Author of Life. We have established guidelines to determine a person's worth, forgetting, or ignoring, that it is You who keeps us, or not, among the living. Forgive us, Merciful Father, for greatly have we sinned.
