I decided to try and find info about 'not giving a feeding tube' to a patient. Something I was curious about since The 3 Euthan-eers are insistent about having Terri's feeding tube removed and not just ceasing the feeding.
If someone will die sooner if they don't receive tube feedings, then the $$$ to the hospice wouldn't be as much if the patient's life span is shortened.
I found this:http://www.caregiver.org/caregiver/jsp/content_node.jsp?nodeid=399
Some strange comments in this are :
1 "people receiving tube feedings may not be able to avail themselves of hospice services."
2.If the family chooses not to insert a feeding tube, the patient and family may have decided that this person is in the final stages of the illness, and that they are now willing to allow death to occur. This decision does not mean starving someone to death.
3. IV hydration can prolong dying rather than prolong living.
It seems to me that they are as evil as the abortionist who says it's just tissue, it's not a baby. They are accepted as experts because they work in places where people die so their word is gospel? It seems obvious to me that not feeding someone "IS" starving them.
Why would a feeding tube prevent a person from entering a hospice?
I do believe that there is something else Felos is working toward.
If people aren't going to be in hospice as long if they don't have a feeding tube then the issue is really the advancement of euthanasia.
bttt
Sub host on Michael Savage show talking about Terri now.
http://www.ksky.com
"Michael Schiavo reads like a bad novel. I wouldn't trust anything he says. And this judge, I don't know what to think about this.
"I don't know what's going on in that heart and mind of Terri, can she see light, can she feel? Does she understand that the man she married is ready to let her die in a very terrible way.
"I believe in every fiber of my being that there is a person there, there's a soul there, there's something of worth, that we should protect from death, and we should not hasten her death.
"Can you imagine a judge sitting on the bench, can you tell me without a shadow of a doubt that Terri doesn't know anything? That she doesn't think 'Will I ever be able to do this? Will I be able to reach out?'
"I would strongly suggest that you rethink this."

That's as much as I could get from listening to the host.
He's gone to break, and is taking phone calls next.
EXACTLY!
AND SOROS IS BEHIND IT!!!
I lost my link and walking OUT THE DOOR! bUt do a google on SOROS-- HIS OWN WORDS!!
"We should consider laws that permit next of kin to decide to forego life sustaining medical interventions even when a patients wishes are not known."
"The doctors and nurses are working to prolong life, instead of preparing a patient for death ."
"We weren't forced by lack of financial resources to put her into a hospital where medical intervention may well have kept her much longer in a state of limbo between living and dying. Just by giving her food, the process could have been unnecessarily prolonged."
And more interesting reading.......
Soros provided $15 million in initial funding for Project Death in America (PDIA), whose headquarters are located at Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons.
