She was referring to the debate about social security and medicare, and how some are talking about how to deal with the problem of it. One of the ways that is talked about (but not openly) is the euthanasia agenda for the elderly. Getting rid of them would 'help save' the social security problem.

That's when I realized that the other alternate meaning of SS was the one when it refers to Nazi Germany's thugs who proceeded with the extermination of many people.

It just makes me shudder when I think of the similarities between pre-Nazi Germany and our own country right now. Some of us have still not learned the lesson of history.

Terri Schiavo and Hitler’s T-4 Program "We should consider laws that permit next of kin to decide to forego life sustaining medical interventions even when a patients wishes are not known." George Soros First of all, let’s dispel the GREAT lie that the German people elected Hitler. This is false and an utter lie. Thank God for the Internet. Thank God for the information age. I grew up thinking that Hitler was elected! I wonder where I got that idea? How Hitler Became a Dictator In the presidential election held on March 13, 1932, there were four candidates: the incumbent, Field Marshall Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler, and two minor candidates, Ernst Thaelmann and Theodore Duesterberg. The results were: Hindenburg 49.6 percent Hitler 30.1 percentThaelmann 13.2 percent Duesterberg 6.8 percent The overwhelming majority of Germans did not seem to mind that their personal freedom had been taken away, that so much of culture had been destroyed and replaced with a mindless barbarism, or that their life and work had become regimented to a degree never before experienced even by a people accustomed for generations to a great deal of regimentation.... The Nazi terror in the early years affected the lives of relatively few Germans and a newly arrived observer was somewhat surprised to see that the people of this country did not seem to feel that they were being cowed.... On the contrary, they supported it with genuine enthusiasm. Somehow it imbued them with a new hope and a new confidence and an astonishing faith in the future of their country. READ IT ALL!

Now I get it, Ohioan. How gross.
I sure see what you mean. I was one
of those who was talking about it earlier.

But didn't relate the SS to the Nazi SS.
That's really creepy. This whole thing
is starting to scare me alot.

Thanks for the reply.

Now, before everyone starts accusing me of being inflammatory and abusing the “fear factor” of the name Hitler, keep this in mind: I am NOT sitting around throwing the name Hitler out for the sake of exaggerating things by instilling fear. I am using FACTS of how Germany gradually came to the point of exterminating people. MILLIONS OF PEOPLE! We, the American people, are disgustingly naive and uneducated about HOW Hitler was able to implement his tyranny. THIS IS DANGEROUS!

We have been bombarded with the horror of what resulted, but extremely sheltered from the facts of HOW! Many of us have thought or discussed, how did they let this happen? Why didn’t they stop it? GOOD QUESTIONS! The answer? PEOPLE WERE LAZY! That’s why. The steps taken to ALLOW Hitler’s control were not having an EFFECT on the majority of people, so they were content to go along their merry little way; trusting that their government had their best interests at heart (or in mind). THEY BLINDLY TRUSTED THE SYSTEM AND IT’S PLAYERS! For certain there were those that DID see what was going on, but when they spoke out, what happened?

THIS IS MY POINT! We are on the verge of allowing a seriously GROSS infraction on justice and judicial conduct. WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING IT?

WHY?
