Sorry, I'm getting lost.
What does this (SS) mean, from your previous post to atruelady? I looked back, but couldn't find the original post.
SS stands for Social Security. The more people who die sooner, the less Social Security will be bankrupt, is what is being suggestedd.

She was referring to the debate about social security and medicare, and how some are talking about how to deal with the problem of it. One of the ways that is talked about (but not openly) is the euthanasia agenda for the elderly. Getting rid of them would 'help save' the social security problem.
That's when I realized that the other alternate meaning of SS was the one when it refers to Nazi Germany's thugs who proceeded with the extermination of many people.
It just makes me shudder when I think of the similarities between pre-Nazi Germany and our own country right now. Some of us have still not learned the lesson of history.
Pepper, I see you got the answer to your question but I thought I would point something out to all the newbies around here that aren't totally familiar with this message board, as I see a lot of "what are you referring to" posts.
At the bottom of every post there is a line that shows the post #, date, and who posted. UNDER that line, it says: "Post Reply", "Private Reply", "To (some #)", "View Replies", and "Report Abuse". If you are reading a post and you don't know what was said in the original post they are referring to, you can click on the "(some #)", and it will take you back to the post they are replying to. To get back to where you left off in the thread, just click your browser's "back" button. The "view replies" link is also handy if you just want to see the replies to a particular post.
It took me a long time to figure that out when I first came here, but it makes following a thread SO much easier.
Sorry for the interruption all, now back to Terri...
