IF it happens to Terri Lovegirl, it will KICK WIDE OPEN the Euthanasia door. Nobody in the USA will be safe, if sick or vulnerable in some way. I can see the politics behind this thing and it's wicked, very wicked. A way to save Medicare perhaps??? How disgusting. I can tell you one thing, I will NEVER AGAIN, step a foot in the State of Florida.

It would keep it solvent a few more years, and Social Security, too. Have you noticed that neither party wants to touch this, and the few party members who do, fight an uphill battle? And they're somewhat shunned? That means that someone, somewhere, thinks that the deal is done and the fix is in. A pitch will be made to Generations X, Y and Z that their money is being "stolen" to pay for those useless eaters. They will probably buy it.
Who else besides SS/Medicare stands to gain? Medical insurance companies - less money paid out. Hospitals - fewer expensive treatments means a higher bottom line. Businesses - no more lengthy pensions.
Too angry to write more right now.
