Terri Schiavo is the only perfect person I know. She is incapable of hurting anyone, of insulting anyone, of being mean to anyone. She is a perfect human being. And just look at the power she has. She's got all of us praying to God Almighty and loving her with all of our hearts . . . and even loving one another. She is an amazing woman.
I am raising FReeper 'atruelady's' double AMEN. Tripling it!
My children have been fully aware of the situation for several years and pray with me. The other day, as we were talking about yet another attempt on Terri's life (Greer's March 18th death warrant), my 10-year-old wanted to know why they couldn't organize a children's march on the hospice to go in and rescue Terri. "They wouldn't just shoot a bunch of unarmed kids, would they?" he asked. Would they? Michael probably would. Felos probably would. Greer might even order the police to shoot on sight, regardless of the unarmed status of the protestors. My answer: "I don't know. They might. These people are pure evil."
Anyway, I thought it was interesting that even my younguns can see the horrific, inhuman behavior of those involved and the need for ordinary people to step in and stop this because the police won't protect her life, and the court won't protect her life, and her husband won't protect her life, and the Church won't protect her life. Who is left? Us. They are also learning an eye-opening lesson that in the land of the free and the home of the brave, civil rights can be trampled legally with the wave of a judicial hand. (All three of my boys join me in praying heartfelt, tearful prayers for Terri. Their faith and their strength amaze me.)
