Biden: Clinton Hard to Beat in 2008 Race

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Joseph Biden says any Democrat who wants to run for president in 2008 should keep in mind these three words: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"I think she'd be incredibly difficult to beat," the Delaware Democrat said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." "I think she is the most difficult obstacle for anyone being the nominee."

The former first lady and Democratic senator from New York insists that she plans to run for re-election in 2006. But speculation persists that she might run for president in 2008.

"She is likely to be the nominee," Biden said. "She'd be the toughest person and I think Hillary Clinton is able to be elected president of the United States."

Biden said he is thinking about running again, 20 years after his first failed bid for the White House because "there's a lot at stake."

LOL - I would not underestimate Hillary Clinton. After all she has Bill Clinton behind her. They can raise tons of money and regardless of what Freepers think - people love Bill Clinton (PUKE!). They voted for him twice remember and believe me she is a formidable woman.

She is strutting around now as the heir apparent, she's everywhere and commenting on issue after issue (born-again moderate and Christian no less) but that doesn't mean 3 years from now she'll have the same attention. A lot can change.

Whaddaya expect him to say?

God, this guy loves to yammer away. But then, it's tough to know EVERYTHING - like Joe Biden does.

Well, Sen. Biden is, after all, a self-made-man ---which relieves the Almighty of a awesome responsibility.

Next, PLEASE!

Hillie must be feeling pretty insecure if she's trying to scare off the competition already.

And Biden's such a good little butt-boy.

Don't you know Hillary is on her listening tour. She does this way before she is going to run for any office. She did this a long time before she ran for Senator. If she sees the polls in her favor she will run!

indeed, but many freepers refuse to accept that. in fact, you'll find on most of these "Hillary 2008" threads, that most freepers want to exclude our best known possible candidates, like McCain or Rudy, from consideration. I honestly believe that many people here would rather see Hillary be president, then elect a so-called RINO.

Exactly. I would vote for Rudy and I did for Mayor twice. I have no qualms about Rudy! But I am in the minority here and probably will get slammed for saying so. (ducking behind my couch)

Hitlery won't be a TOMATO CANdidate like Kerry was. She will be able to call up Clintigula's old illusions of better days.

well I don't think that there is a designated successor. We need an heir apparent to continue the Bush legacy - and there simply ain't one.
