I watched the whole ceremony on Sky and it lasted about 3 hours it must have been so cold to sit there in the open air and not move for that length of time. I suspect the jacket was Arctic level also the woolen hat I noticed had a website address on it so I went up on the site and it turns out to be a specialist ski wear site based in Switzerland so again I suspect the hat was very well insulated. I know a few years ago he used to ski don't know if he does now but I think I read he says he mucks around on the lower slopes with the grandchildren now in the warmer days of winter, so again I would assume he has the right apparel for this. I always have maintained he did not expect the press to photograph them sitting in the stand only when laying the candle which then he did remove hat and put hood of the coat down out of respect.
The following day he returned to the camp with the US delegation and his daughter Liz this time wearing a long black coat because he would not be sitting in the cold but moving about
Well that got that off my chest did it not. How I hate the MSM
A sentiment felt on both sides of the Atlantic, to be sure. Good night.
