Clinton Says Hillary Would Make Excellent First U.S. Female President The Associated Press

TOKYO (AP) - Former President Clinton said Sunday that his wife, Hillary, would be an excellent choice as the first female leader of the world's most powerful nation.

In an interview with Japan's TV Asahi, Clinton said he did not know whether his wife, the senator of New York state, has any plans to one day run for the presidency.

"I don't know if she'll run or not," he told the network, but added, "She would make an excellent president, and I would always try to help her."

Hillary Rodham Clinton has said she plans to run for re-election as New York senator in 2006. Speculation has periodically surfaced, however, that the 57-year-old former first lady may have her sights set for the presidency in 2008.

Results from a U.S. poll released last week showed that six in 10 American voters believe the United States is ready for a female president.

Fifty-three percent thought Hillary Clinton should try for the job, according to the survey by the Siena College Research Institute and sponsored by Hearst Newspapers.

"If she did run and she was able to win, she'd make a very, very good president," Clinton said Sunday. "I think now she's at least as good as I was."

She made him say that. He is one of her worst (best) enemies and he does not want her to be President.

In all reality, what else is he going to say?

Clinton said Sunday. "I think now she's at least as good as I was."

I don`t think Hillary will appreciate this backhanded praise.
The conceit and narcissism of this pair would require writing new textbooks to completely analyze.

That wouldn't go over too well if he told the truth and said she'd make a lousy President. Those flying lamps and ashtrays hurt after a while.

======= from PAST TRUE TALES OF X42's "Judgement" ======

At a Connecticut fundraiser in the spring of 1996, X42 made an observation
about a five-hundred-year-old Inca mummy that had just been discovered, at the summit of a Peruvian volcano.
"You know, if I were a single man, I might ask that mummy out," Clinton said. "That's a good-looking mummy."

I'm, of course, bothered by them; but what REALLY frosts my behind is the free pass the MSM gives them for their outrageous behavior and quotes. A pox on ALL their houses...

The "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" making the statement that Herself would make an "excellent first US female President", overlooks an obvious fact - Herself has ALREADY served two de facto terms as US President, and did not do just all that well in serving the interests of the US as a whole anytime during that period.

Herself is a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, far greater than the mere presence of terrorists who may launch an attack against the US. Herself would encourage and facilitate further attacks against the US by refusing to take the necessary steps to carry the fight to them, and by eviscerating what defenses we now have, in a "conciliatory" move to "ease tensions". This strategy did not work against the Soviet Union, and it will not work against the Islamic militants.
