Need the power of DU behind this

We need to promote our agenda in a uniform and consistent manner. Part of this is by supporting liberal radio formats across the country. In Dallas we are writing letters and circulating petitions to have a liberal station started. But we need liberal radio in all markets across the country so that we can spread our messages, spread the truth and combat Rush and his minions. There are some very good liberal hosts out there to do this, but we have to get them in and it is going to take the power of the people to do this. If you could take a minute and sign one of these petitions it would be most appreciated. If you are interested in helping this grassroots effort to get liberal radio in your area, please pm me. We can share letters, petitions, tips on how to target the station and help spread democracy in a constructive way. The first petition is for North Texas and the 2nd petition is for anyone that supports liberal radio to sign. This particular one is the one we will use in all markets that we target. Well gee I wonder why it's not there now. Could it be that the market forces of a free market economy...supply and demand if you will proved there is no profit to be made in Liberal talk Radio as an entire format?

The way I look at it they could have 20 Air AMerica style stations in a market and we could have ONE Rush station and they'd STILL say they didn't have enough.

IMHO if the RATS thought they could do it they'd bring back the "Fairness Doctorine" if only to stifle conservative views once and for all and return to the "good old days" when they controlled it all.

I tuned into that station a while back on a Saturday night, the show was hosted by a couple of females. They were doing/saying things that were raunchier and nastier than Howard Stern on cable-TV. I couldn't believe it, but of course no-one was listening but me probably....

And they will use petitions like this or try and get the FCC to bully the Fairness Clause back into existance through whatever judicial means necessary if they have to. Just like they've done on every other "landmark" piece of Libeal flotsam that's been foisted up us over the last 35 years. It's the ONLY way they can continue to force their monority view of the world down the majority's throat.

Not sure. FOr awhile after he lost his bid to become Govenor of the great state of Texas he was doing a weekly syndicated debate program with Clayton Williams (I would record Clatie's part at my station in Midland).

That faded out and I thought he had.

But there's a retread hippie leefty that posts on my hometown forum that is cutting and pasting Hightower stuff froma blog that ol Jim runs now.

They have television, newspapers, FM radio and NPR ... and we have a small segment of AM radio - a media abandoned years ago as being obsolete.

So, they lose big time despite having almost all the media locked up. Rather (sic) than occurring to them that they are getting their message out just fine and it is the message itself that sucks, they have to blame something else.

They say: "Hey! We must have lost because we don't have Talk Radio!"

They can demand all they want. Air America is TERRIBLE and no one listens to the thing. It sucks so bad it has to be driving all but the most brainwashed dems AWAY from the party. It wouldn't last 2 months without massive outside financial help.

So, sure dems, just keep doing what you're doing.

Because if you do, you always get what you have.
