Except it is only blacks that are allowed to tell the way they feel. If whites tell the way they feel it is hate speech.
It all depends on how you say what you feel, imo. If you treat others with respect, in general, they will respect your feelings in return. They don't have to agree, btw.
Respectful dialogue can only help. Screeching like a harpy (for whites or blacks) accomplishes nothing. In a lot of ways, race relations are like a troubled marriage. A lot of hurt is experienced on both sides...and you have a choice. You can either forgive and move on, resolving to do better-- or your can dwell on the past and beat each other over the head with it. Some folks want to do the former, some the latter. I know where I stand, anyway.
