What's wrong with the small guys getting their own awards ceremony? Ok, so these guys are paid huge salaries and benefits to do a job. But so is the Hollywood crowd. These politicians just got caught up in Oscar week. Give them a break. This is their 15 minutes of fame.
I'm listening to local radio here in Wichita. The general opinion is that the "press conference" was a stupid political rally and a waste of time and money. Standing ovations for catching a guy who has been trying to get caught for a year? Whoohoo! Good job!! Clap clap clap clap. Oh you're great! Oh no you're even way more greater! Please. Frickin' ridiculous.
I think this is rewarding the serial killer and giving him what he has beebn after for so many years. Just as if to recap or highlight a great sports game. Very scary to me.
