Oscar? Wasn't he in the Odd Couple?
Who cares ?
My Prediction:
Many, many whacko liberals will be attending.
My Oscar prediction: I won't be watching it.
Only homosexuals watch the Oscars, right?
My Prediction is that I Don't Care.
We do not need these folks and we should ignore them
Best Actor: Ron Jeremy
As Bill Murray puts it, "Nobody really cares about Best Supporting Actor or Actress."
Best Picture: The Aviator
Best Director: Scorsese
Best Actor: Jamie Foxx
Best Actress: Hilary Swank
Best supporting actor: Morgan Freeman
Best supporting actress: Blanchett
Though those aren't necessarily her preferences.
What's an "Oscar"? Is it anything like Nascar?
I predict that my two most highly anticipated movies this year, Fantastic Four and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, will be nowhere near 'Oscar' caliber. I couldnt care less either...JFK
I predict that I won't watch.
WOW! Those were my EXACT picks, with most of the same "buts" , also. I posted them about three weeks ago on a thread I can't even remember now. One can usually gauge the winners if one is attuned to the exact amount of buzz/non-buzz coalescing around each nominee. I don't think there will be any surprises. It's time for Scorsese to win both best Director and Best Picture, and though I haven't seen it, AVIATOR seems a vehicle designed to win as many awards as possible. But I can't imagine enjoying it more than SIDEWAYS, which was utterly perfect in so many ways. So honest it was thrilling. There should be thirty movies as good as that every year, instead there are usually between one and three.
IMHO opinion, Best Picture: "Sideways", next, "Finding Neverland", next, Hotel Rwanda, next, "Ray", next, "Million Dollar Baby". "Aviator" was very good, but as usual the overbearing and ever liberal Mr. Scorcese screwed up a good story. Surprisingly, Leo DeCaprio did a very good job of portraying Howard Hughes, he was just not the right type for the role. As for Alec Baldwin's protrayal of Juan Trippe, the poor left-wing idiot didn't have a clue. Again, IMHO, Martin Scorcese should join fellow "Democrat" Michael Moore in the sea of lost artists!!! Mr. Scorcese deserves no "OSCAR" for this weak portrayal of the powerful and mystic Howard Hughes!!!
I knew Juan Trippe, and when it came to business politics, raising funds and negotiating positive deals for Pan Am, Trippe had no equal in the commerical airline industry. Just read the history of Pan Am from its inception up until the time Trippe retired in 1968. The best part of the Trippe/Hughes saga was passed by avoiding the issue of "The Community Company", Trippe's idea for Pan Am to become the "single" American flag carrier around the world.
Best pic - Million Dollar Baby
Best actor - Jamie Fox - Ray
Best actress - Hillary Swank - Million Dollar Baby
But the only movie that will be regarded as a classic and will still be viewed in 100 years is The Passion of the Christ.
That Michael Moore has already contacted Omar the Tentmaker about getting this year's tux made for him.
And that I won't watch.
Couldn't if I wanted to.
But I don't want to.
The host is going to make the the network staffer running the delay a very busy person.
Here are my predictions:
I won't watch it.
There will be several anti Bush statements made.
There will be several anti conservative jokes made.
There will no anti liberal jokes made.
Winners will be selected on the basis of political considerations.
Vacuous stars will be well represented.
Everyone will take themselves way to seriously.
Self important speeches will be made.
Ignorance will be in abundance.
If Monica Belluci attends she will look good.
