[Nobody's "ignoring" that, we're questioning his competence to be the decision maker.] Sure you are, by going against HIS decisions. That is correct, I dispute his decisions and find them suspect, rendering him unfit to serve as her guardian. Was that not clear?

BSF,
Hope you are well. How is your hearing situation?
Regarding your comment: Don't you want Michael Schiavo brought to justice? Don't you realize he's just trying to finish the job he started 15 years ago? Is it any coincidence he wants a quick creamation and no autopsy for his wife's body once he's finished?
If they win, Michael gets away with murder. Don't be fooled by the "right-to-die" rhetoric.
Also, would you consider, for a moment, that part of the reason Terri isn't better off than she is, is because Michael has used her settlement money for legal fees to get her killed - all the while citing the very condition said monies were intended to improve!!!!!!!!!!

You're whole argument has been based on hypotheticals alone.
Please explain. It is not productive to make statements like this unless you back it up with some sort of reasoning. I have no idea what you are talking about. Please tell me how my whole argument has been based upon hypotheticals.
I think my whole argument comes down to this. We have 2 parties: 1) Michael Schiavo (legally the husband, morally no way) 2) The Schindlers. Both claim to want to do what is best for Terri Schiavo. Everybody in this thread has to come down on one side or the other in this question... "Who is to be trusted to make the right decision for Terry Schiavo. BASED UPON EVERYTHING I HAVE READ AND SEEN... NOT BASED UPON HYPOTHETICALS the answer is a no-brainer: the parents. I don't believe for a second that Michael Schiavo is acting in the best interests of Terri. Not when he goes home every night to a second family. We have to trust one or the other. I trust the parents.

Stupid comment, the most ignorant on the
thread.

An annulment would give everyone pause for thought. The more Terri can be disassociated with Michael, the better. You're certainly correct about that.

If you're going to row down that path to call me a "promoter of murder", "member of the Nazi death squad", "key keeper of the death camp", I won't have any of it. You pinheads gall me. You can't debate beyond childish name calling.

Deny rehabilitation efforts, and then point to the lack of improvement as a reason to kill.
In one study it was found that rehab made a considerable difference in the abilities of those with brain damage. From the NEJM, and I will try to find a summary of it.
Additionally it's all a moot point because in the past people who could ask for food and water were judged to be incompetent to do so on their own behalf and killed by dehydration.

IF the shoe fits, better wear it. Promoting the murder of a handicapped young woman isn't exactly Godly behavior, but I have read about such things in history.

It's not childish name calling but the truth. The things happening today are exactly the same things which led the Nazis forward.

In which case, you give up your unnatural life suport, too. In this case, it's food and water. We respect your decision. Start now? You are saying that she is able to feed herself and she is going to be deprived of this right? Or is she being force fed, which is artificial intervention? You can't have it both ways, either she has a feeding tube or she doesn't.

He wasn't being abusive...he was asking you to prove your point. I mean with REAL proof. Can you? If so, we'd all love to see it.

Deny rehabilitation efforts, and then point to the lack of improvement as a reason to kill.Or, stop the patient from eating and order a feeding tube, then pull the tube and have them killed.

She is being fed through a tube because her husband will not allow her to eat by mouth. She can swallow...she swallows her saliva. The only reason the tube is there is because he will not allow her to be fed.
To: calex59
The feeding tube is irrelevant. Many past cases could eat or drink on their own and were forced onto a feeding tube, so that it could then be removed or the use of it stopped, and they could be killed.
