I disagree. The court would have to at least consider it or would have had to consider it. And it might hold weight in the "court" of Public opinion.

What woman would remain married to a man who is living with another woman and has two children by her? In most states that would be automatic grounds for divorce. Unfortunatly, Terri is in no position to begin a legal divorce, which is hardly fair. An annulment would give everyone pause for thought. The more Terri can be disassociated with Michael, the better.

the real question is "What would Terri want?" EVERYONE in this debate is injecting their own ideals and beliefs into the discussion. the only important opinion is Terri's. more investigation is needed into what Terri's wishes are. we need to spend the time and effort on that question, not the specifics of her current condition.

A significant part of the complaint being levelled against him, which you could take the time read about on various sites already linked in this thread if you were actually interested, is that's not actually what he's doing.

What happened to that religious thing about walking a mile in a person's shoes or not judging least you be judged and all that jazz.

"Don't judge lest you be judged" is not an instruction to look the other way at wrongdoing. That is a simpleton's interpretation of that teaching.

Greer has not only been NOT interpreting this to Florida law but he has flat-out IGNORED the conflicts of interest running rampant in the case.

If you read every shred of documentation (pretty much Free Republic has it all), you will see the massive discrepancies in the whole mess.

Remember, this is many years of compiled information.

Greer only ruled the way he did today to get people off his back, but I say to keep the heat on...maybe he will resign.

Please urge the church to actually sue the state for infringing Terri's religious rights, by allowing Mike Schiavo as her guardian, since he will not allow the host to be given to Terri.

Also urge the church to annul the Schiavo marriage, because of adultery and illegitimate children.

These steps would help so much.

That's right. Karen Ann Quinlan was on a ventilator (and a feeding tube simultaneously). The issue was NEVER the FEEDING TUBE (which was NEVER removed) but the ventilator which was and is considered extraordinary means.

After the VENTILATOR was removed, the feeding tube remained in place. Karen Ann Quinlan lived for ten more years.

also i do take the time to read this stuff. I do remember reading something about judges can't make law, only interpret it. That was pretty recent actually as in a few days ago. Then there is the typical 3 separate branches of government type stuff that we all learned.

But you took my dig at religion and you ASSUMED i was misinformed about the details. then decided to come up with a response that had nothing to do with my original point which Greer isn't the spawn of satan, the devil, he's prolly not going to hell. He's just one heck of an unlucky guy who had this case come across his desk.
