"On Tuesday, another Oxford Hills man who, also, has a child serving with the 133d ..."
I hate when they refer to our servicemembers as 'child' or 'children'.
I udnerstand your point, but, to many of us, while they are men and women in uniform who have been in combat, theya re still our sons, daughters and grandkids.
Whem I pray, I refer to them as kids, I am aware that may sound as if I am not showing them the respect they deserve.
but, John, the author of the report is a Veteran of Iraq one. I am sure he would never write anything disrespectful towards the troops.

I was beginning to wonder myself if that grated on anyone as much as it was grating on me.
"I hate when they refer to our servicemembers as 'child' or 'children'."
"I hate when they refer to our servicemembers as 'child' or 'children'."
They do it for obvious reasons. The leftist MSM wants everyone to believe we're willingly sending our "children" off to die in a war they're against.
They may as well refer to our soldiers as "fetuses," which they kill on demand. But, that would show their hypocrisy. We can't have that! /sarcasm
