And I would not trust any "absentee ballots" to the Post Office, after what they did in Portland to steal the ME Senate for Brennan.

This state has a leftist political machine that Bugsy DALEY of Chicago would be proud of!

This is downright sickening.  But it's a Federal Law to tamper with Absentee Ballots.  I just wish someone would get caught red-handed if any tampering of the Absentee Ballots are being messed with.

But we all know what "they" did with out absentee ballots the last election from our troops over seas.  Florida claimed they didn't even receive them in time.  This is a crock.

Re your #223:

"...we all know what "they" did with out absentee ballots the last election from our troops over seas. Florida claimed they didn't even receive them in time. This is a crock."

Yup; and the Postal authorities saw to it that the "rules" were set up so that they could "arrange" for certain technical irregularities, such as postmarks not giving the correct date etc., in order to disqualify those military ballots that did manage to get delivered.
We've heard of absentee ballots being found in the holds of ships and washing up on beaches for years after that election. I don't think anyone checked, but I would be surprised if the same tricks were not in use during the last election, too.

Apparently a lot of Military personell serving in Iraq didn't even bother to vote, assuming that their vote would never get to be counted even if it got delivered at all. Personally, I think their suspicions were well founded.
I was encouraging those I knew over there to try to smuggle their absentee ballots home with buddys coming home on leave to mail in country, or to send them under cover of plain mail home to be mailed by family there, or hand delivered directly to the town offices.

I'm not the only one who has learned not to trust the USPS!

In Portland, absentee ballotts arrived up to 10 days after the election, and were of course invalidated, even for the re-count. Normal delivery time at that PO is said to be 2-3 days max.

During the re-count Rep. observers were allowed to look at the envelopes, but could not open them. After the re-count, the contested ballots were destroyed. They looked up the names on some of the the return addresses on the Voter Registration Lists, and as I recall all of them were registered Republicans.

The Democrat-stacked committee threw out ballots that were marked in blue ink for VamVakias, the Republican Candidate, yet accepted ones in red ink for Brennan, the Democrat. Protests from the Republicans were summarily ignored, as might be expected.

Ultimately, Brennan "won" by a handfull of votes, and thus the State Senate remained (as it still does) controlled by the iron fist of the majority Commiocrats.

My theory (having spent some time in the Criminal Justice Field) is that shortly before the election - perhaps about a week - a high Postal Employee's Union Operative started stopping in at the Portland PO about 1:00 AM; either the night custodian let him/her in, or they had a key.
Since they would have been a USPS Employee, they would have security clearance.

Voter Registration lists are available free of charge to the Chairpersons of each political party in each district, assuming that they have a Committee. Portland does for both Parties.
Anyone else can get a copy on CD or printout for around $20 from the City Clerk, last I knew.

Said perpetraitor would no doubt have had a copy.

Locking himself in, he could have easily gone through incoming absentee ballots, which a cooperative sorting room accomplice could have collected and set aside during the day. Comparing return adresses against the Voter Registration Listing, it would be easy to distinguish registered Republicans from Democrats, and sort accordingly.

What I suspect happened is that Democrat ballots went back into the bags for delivery, while God-knows how many Republican ones became mysteriously "Missing", ground up in the sorting machinary (*OOPS*) or set aside for later delivery... AFTER the polls had closed, of course.

But you might as well complain to the Virgin Mary as the Postal Inspectors, because neither you nor I nor anyone else has the hard "evidence", and the Unions are as impenetrable as the Cosa Nostra (probably not the only similarity).
And the Politicians and beuraucrats who are kept in power with such shenannigans will see to it that no incriminating evidence ever comes to light, either.

Maine election laws, BTW, are some of the slackest in the Country; Maine elections are apparently very easy to steal.
And let us not hold our breaths for any meaningful "reform" in this State any time soon.

Now the last few Portland elections were not even close enough for a re-count; did anyone happen to notice how many Republican Absentee Ballots were delivered a week or so too late to the City Hall? Or how many never made it at all?

Didn't think so.

Is anyone going to be watching the PPO in the week or two before the next election? Checking their dumpster for absentee ballots with Republican return addresses? (Dont bother; they probably shred 'em.)

And that's just ONE big city post office. How about Lewiston? Augusta? Bangor?
Same Postal Union, Ya know. Same Union as they have in Florida...

Have you noticed how most if not all of the cities in Maine seem to go overwhelmingly to the Dems? Is it really all the professional welfare recipients and College students / Faculty that do that for 'em? Or are they getting some help from the people entrusted with all of those absentee ballots?

Think about it; Maine would probably not be in the financial crisis it is now, and we might still have sort of an economy left, had all of those Ballots for Sally V. been delivered on time... or at all. A lot of our young people would have been able to find jobs here, instead of being forced into economic exile far from home and families.

We might have a future.

Any questions as to why I do NOT TRUST the USPS?
