It is so much worse because we are talking about God. Not a mere human, but this IS God here, and they mocked flushing him down a toilet. He IS really present in that Host.

My God is strong enough that he need not put up with being flushed down a toilet.
You can flush a cracker, you cannot flush God.
God is not a cracker.
