You're digging yourself a deeper hole here. Please find out the words of absolution,
God forgives our sins, through the priest!
And in this belief is an implication that 99.9999% of Catholics apparently don't take seriously. How do they know that they won't commit a deadly sin (lust, pride, envy, etc.) in their mind, then actually die (a stroke or heart attack can do it within seconds), before seeing a priest? I am an evangelical so this possibility does not haunt me; but were I a Catholic and actually believed that, I would go live in a monastery where I could room up as close to the priest as possible. Nothing would be too extreme an action to keep from going to hell -- absolutely nothing.
God forgives our sins, through the priest!
True, but God forgives a truly penitent heart, priest or no. It's not up to us. It's up to the Father!
Jesus Christ, as Scripture expressly states, is the ONLY mediator between God and man.
Not Mary (toss out co-mediatrix doctrine), nor a priest.
