"Not only have the charges against a South Carolina teenage boy and a homeschooling mother stemming from a confrontation with a plainclothes police officer been dropped, but the officer involved has been fired."
Outstanding!

A press release Reece issued also mentions that the plainclothes officer, identified in earlier press reports as Investigator Michael Snow, "has been terminated." Soon to be touted as another casualty of Bush's economic policies.

I am not for suing, but in this case, The police department should not be sued, but the "Fired Officer" should be sued.
To: Mr. Mojo
No matter what, we have to remember that this former police officer was in the class of people Liberals believe should be the ONLY ones to have access to guns.

I don't know South Carolina's concealed carry laws, but that cop may be lucky he's just unemployed instead of embalmed somewhere.
To: Mr. Mojo
The 16-year-old boy was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, a small hunting knife on his belt.... In most towns I have lived in half the town could be arrested on any given day for carrying a hunting knife on their belt. Especially during hunting season.

The fired officer has already lost his job. I would hate to see a homeschooling family spend their savings going after someone when there is virtually no hope of financial recovery.
Even is they won, the fired officer could file for bankruptcy, and pay nothing.

I commend Police Chief Reece for doing the right thing by firing Officer Snow.
The officer did not identify himself. I'm quite confident that had he done this he would still have a job with the force today. And to respond in the way he did was completely unprofessional. According to the article, the officer appears to have some problems with controlling his anger. Not what we want in a law enforcement officer.

This clown should be arrested for simple assault.
Let him try the same bullying in the lockup room with his new found 'friends'.
