Yep. Looks like illegal aliens will get a benefit denied to American citizens from other states in Arkansas. The legendary corruption of the Ozarks acquires another dubious milestone.

Good gawd, those folks have indeed lost their freakin' minds!

Does Hillary still pay any taxes in Arkansas?

63-31? What the heck is going on in this country? Sheesh, it seems like liberals would endorse giving illegals an automatic $50,000 a year stipend because we feel bad for them! This makes me sick. There are homeless veterans who are ignored, yet these damn politicians spend time worrying about, "what can we give illegals?". In my mind, there is no comparison you can make to substantiate supporting illegals over our homeless citizens, especially veterans. It's un-American...period.

As part of her bill, Elliott required that illegal aliens who receive in-state tuition file an affidavit with the college or university they attend, stating that they intend to legalize their immigration status.

I see she has been taking lessons from our crazy Kansas governor. We had the same exact bill pass. One thing, these illegal immigrants cannot legalize their immigration status without leaving the country and applying to re-enter. The result of their being here illegally in the first place will result in a 10 year ban, and then her chances of ever getting here legally are zero and none.

???Gov. Huckabee and our other elected officials have lost their freaking minds!???

What is this world coming to??? Maybe there is something I'm not getting, I'm starting to think it's that these politicians are thinking toward the future and thinking of their future constituents. Holy cow, even in Arkansas!!

"Gov. Huckabee and our other elected officials have lost their freaking minds!"

Are you just figuring this out?

But really, the people who truly lost their minds are the ones who vote these con artists in and then reelect them.

Sounds exactly like the program California put into place a year or so ago. Not very popular but it went through nonetheless.

Illegal aliens are CRIMINALS and potentially terrorists.

Jail them, deport them, KEEP THEM OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

This is all building to getting them able to vote - the Democrats are already trying. The Republicans will try if Bush gets his 'Guest Worker' insanity.

.."While seven lawmakers spoke in support of the bill during debate on the House floor, the measure drew silence from opponents. None of the 31 lawmakers who voted against the bill chose to speak against it. "I think most minds were made up," said Rep. Mike Kenney, R-Siloam Springs, who voted against it. "Speaking for myself, I didn’t see any point in belaboring the issue. It wasn’t going to change any minds."

What a bunch of "panty waste", lazy, worthless bastards. IT'S THEIR chance to stand up and be heard, to debate or dissent such blatantly obvious circumventing of the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. Feel Confident ? Put it to a VOTE of the people.

What a bunch of Hooey........

"Gov. Mike Huckabee, who included the bill in his legislative package, drew a contrast between Wednesday’s vote in support of illegal immigrants and the state’s handling of the 1957 desegregation of Little Rock’s Central High School."

I find that embarrassing. There is no parallel.

Gov. Huckabee has gone over to the dark side. I don't think I can ever trust him again.

Unfortunately, even in this reddest of red states, Texas, we have the same law. There is no excuse for the lawmakers passing such a law. If they are ILLEGAL -- don't reward them, DEPORT them !!

I'm sure the traitor Huckabee is just delighted. He's just forced AMERICAN CITIZEN TAXPAYERS to pay even more than they already are to illegal aliens. Get a clue, Huckabee. Mexicans are NOT the American taxpayer's responsibility!
