I have never met anyone who hated the South, Southerners or any state of the United States. Every Northerner that I have ever met had absolutely no negative opinion of the South except perhaps comments about the humidity.
At the very worse, the South is ignored by Northerners.

"At the very worse, the South is ignored by Northerners"
And those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Most of the war between the states was fought on southern soil.
The horror lingers in the land. Not just the death of soldiers, but the full price of war for everyone involved.
The bitter lessons of history are passed down from parent to child, neighbor to neighbor, and absorbed by osmosis, if you live here long enough. As fact, and as something to be remembered for future use if needed.
I haven't lived north of the Mason-Dixon in over 25 years, and I will never willingly do so again.
And as war comes again to this land, it will be Southerners who "win" this time.
We have not forgotten, and that is strength and knowledge that most Yankees don't possess.

UNFORTUNATELY i met a BUNCH of southHATERS when i was stationed up there during my active duty period.(a full bull, who was from VT, i served under was prone to call us all STUPID!)
in point of fact, we would be pleased that we were ignored by the north, to the point that we can PEACEFULLY leave.

I have never met anyone who hated the South ... Look in the keywords for this thread, and you will see that it is not true. Admin mod: I know you can tell who posted those keywords. Are you happy to let those words stay on the thread, and the person that posted them stay ar FR?

I had a quote by Martin Luther King as to why he prefers to live in the South, but can't find it.
