"At the very worse, the South is ignored by Northerners"
And those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Most of the war between the states was fought on southern soil.
The horror lingers in the land. Not just the death of soldiers, but the full price of war for everyone involved.
The bitter lessons of history are passed down from parent to child, neighbor to neighbor, and absorbed by osmosis, if you live here long enough. As fact, and as something to be remembered for future use if needed.
I haven't lived north of the Mason-Dixon in over 25 years, and I will never willingly do so again.
And as war comes again to this land, it will be Southerners who "win" this time.
We have not forgotten, and that is strength and knowledge that most Yankees don't possess.

We have not forgotten, and that is strength and knowledge that most Yankees don't possess.Northerners aren't interested in any division between the North and the South let alone "winning" anything. It must have something to do with "winning" in the first place. A Northerner isn't interested in the Civil War era no more than a Republican is interested in rehashing the 2000 elections. It's over and the "winners" have gone on with their lives.
