FOX NEWS: Pope has been taken to operating room. Doctors preparing to operate.
I wonder what God Almighty thinks of posters like you.
You remark is in very poor taste even for an anti-Catholic.
Prayers for the Pope.
Thy will be done..
"I think you'd better tend to your own knitting as far as being right with the Lord. John Paul II undoubtedly has that area taken well care of."
How are you so sure about that? And who are you to presume anything about me, or anyone?
All of us needs to stand before God someday, not on the basis of our goodness, good works, church leadership, or knowldge but on the basis of the work of Jesus Christ shedding HIs blood for us. "Not by works of righteousness, but according to His mercy he saved us....."
Let God be the judge of the human heart. I was not judging his soul, only to say that I'd be more concerned about IT at this point than his dying body.
2:30, I believe.
Some of these folks who are dismissing the pope's plight as insignificant would probably be in deep distress if some NASCAR driver were killed.
If you've never done a death watch on a loved one, maybe you don't know the feeling yet. It's like watching them work on my mom when she died.
I'm not worried for the pope. I am sad because when he goes I won't get to see him...and I love him.
God is God, and it's in his hands.
John Paul loves the Lord more than most people...I'm not worried for where he will be going...
Please remove my comment. I guess it was a bit too much. Sorry for the honesty.
God thinks the same of everyone, including the posters you dislike. We're all equal in the eyes of the Lord.
Prayer bump
Yes, he has. I really took to heart his words a few weeks ago about how suffering is part of being human. We were just getting ready to put my grandma in a nursing home cuz she has alzheimers and those words really meant a lot to me. Alzheimers is the first thing that has ever made me question my faith in God. The Pope helped that.
You can dish it but you can't take it, apparently.
Age has nothing to do with it. Of course we will all eventually take a realistic view...but, as with any loved one, the imminent danger or situation is shattering news. Give us a chance to express that. If you do not like the comments, or don't feel compassionite - either just lurk, or go away. Leave us in peace for now. Please. We don't want to argue, but we need time to digest this without criticism.
If you aren't Catholic and aren't particularly empathetic to what Catholics are feeling right now, maybe you should pray and see what God might direct you to say to others who are grieving. if anything at all. just a suggestion.
So they're 20 minutes into it already?
Yes, from what I understand.
The same thought crossed my mind as well.
Oh I can take it. I just don't want this thread turned into a flamewar. I used to love doing that. But I don't feel like a suspension today.
I'm getting very nervous!
