again, you might look to
this from the Mod, before continuing down the path on which you are embarking.

Hey mel? How's about you tone it down....say down to the silent point. Or,why don't you start your own pope bashing thread?
Dang, I know we shouldn't feed the trolls... To those of you (Catholics or non) who are praying for him, thanks. To those of you who are taking this opportunity to debate the finer points of a religion you obviously know nothing about and mock both the religion and the man, go to hell (hey, can I say that??).

It's a clear explanation, but in my opinion that doesn't necessarily make it "routine." If his lungs cannot cope with common infections without a tracheotomy, it indicates he is getting close to a point where he would need permanent life-support assistance. In other words, his body is failing and even if he pulls through this crisis, he probably doesn't have much more time.

Thanks for the info, any thoughts on how the trache would affect the Pope's ability to speak?

Thank you, Miss Marple.
And thanks to the other Protestants who have posted sympathetic messages on this thread. You are examples of true Christian charity.
Those few who have posted ugly messages here deserve our sympathy and prayers. It must be sad to live with such a cold heart.
Prayers to Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church and of a happy death, for his intercession for our Pope.

... So, for that reason alone, even if one does not adhere to the Roman Catholic religion, this pope is deserving of enormous respect. Amen

I don't think it's his responsibility to explain anything to you. I think we're all getting sick of your sort on this thread.

"Oh, Really? can you explain that?"
One example is how he forgave the assassin who shot him while trying to kill him.

May God bless and keep John Paul II.
To: melbell
Indeed it does, especially when it's about the MAN they worship. We don't worship the Pope. We worship plaster statues, just like you worship Bibles. Please get it right next time.
