Why the disparaging remarks? I love dogs. But they're dumb animals. Most people treat their dogs like family members. It never occurs to them that these things could happen. "Don't leave the 'trusted' family pet alone with a baby." Maybe you think "Stupid is as Stupid does". It's not the foolish parent that suffers the consequences. This stuff happens too often. The article has credence and should be replayed on a regular basis.

The article mentions 5 other historical attacks. Only two are identified as pit bulls.

Focusing concern only on pit bulls is a mistake, possibly a tragic one.

My lab adored my kids, The kids could do anything to that lab and he would just keep coming back for more. They were life long freinds until the dog died of old age. But help anything. That went after the kids.

But it was a differant story with my german shepherd one never left her and the kids alone.

The labs I have now are great with kids and they are also great hunters.
