Pit bulls...why am I not surprised.
To: kanawa
And coincidentaly, both babies were maimed by, gee... go figure... pit bulls. How many incidents of babies being maimed by a terrier?
To: kanawa
Anyone with common sense and real love towards their baby would not leave them alon AT ALL.
Bottles, pacifiers, baby swings: mommy substitutes.

Geez, how about holding you baby and rocking it in your arms instead of sticking it in a swing and ignoring it.

Pit bulls are terriers, hence the name pit bull terriers.
The article mentions 5 other historical attacks. Only two are identified as pit bulls.
Focusing concern only on pit bulls is a mistake, possibly a tragic one.

My lab adored my kids, The kids could do anything to that lab and he would just keep coming back for more. They were life long freinds until the dog died of old age. But help anything. That went after the kids.
But it was a differant story with my german shepherd one never left her and the kids alone.
The labs I have now are great with kids and they are also great hunters.
