If Karl Rove is behind this as Hinchey purports, then why the *Hadees* did Burkett become involved? Wasn't Burkett identified as Mary Mapes' contact on this? Wasn't it proven that he Faxed the supposedly authentic documents from a Kinko's near his house to her? Didn't he openly state that he has had these for a long time and that he got them from someone who he will not reveal? Did Rove give them to Burkett? I don't think so Well that would be evidence that Rove wasn't involved with the memos

Exactly, you got it - that is my point. I was being sarcastic. I cannot believe that anyone - even the media people - have not pointed out that argument. They are so focused on the "bringing down CBS" aspect, that they are ignoring the facts of the story.
No one is mentioning the Burkett involvement at all in any of their joustings with Hinchey. Did Burkett just disappear?
