Bush is *so* stupid that he tricked Dan Rather into using forged documents against him.
For those unfamiliar with this case, here's the transcript from Brit Hume's Grapevine a couple days ago:
Hinchey's Hunch
New York Democratic Congressman Maurice Hinchey (search) is accusing the White House, and specifically adviser Karl Rove (search), of "setting up" CBS to air the now-discredited report on President Bush's National Guard service. At a weekend forum in Ithaca, New York taped by a member of the audience Hinchey said, "Why did [the White House] do it? They knew that Bush was a draft dodger. ... They knew that he had no defense for that period in his life. ... So] they produced papers ... and they distributed those out to elements of the media. ... [CBS] finally bought into it."
Hinchey, however, said he has no evidence to back up his claim.
Exactly. Hinchey & Co. have to be deeply deranged that Rove somehow would think it would be a good idea to put out documents placing W in a bad light.
Karl Rove is *so* smart that he picked a Chimp to put all his effort behind.
It works either way you slice it.
Y'see.
