Readers of my Today Show threads know me [hopefully] to be a fairly level-headed guy with a sense of humor. But this incident with Hinchey has sent me off the deep end, no doubt because he is, sickeningly, my congressman and I have knocked heads with him for years. I am truly distraught.

It sounds like Colmes was forced to swing wildly in every direction in trying to come to this lunatics defense by any means he could think of.

PS: That's another good point. These are lefties who are supposed to know better and be more credible.

They reek of desperation, and it is a good clue as to how they've been operating for years and years.

The difference is, they used to get by with it because there were no alternatives.

The arrogance of this guy is nauseating. He could barely keep a straight face, reveling in his face time on national TV. He could care less about making false and unsubstantiated charges. He feels that as an incumbent, with his base of support in Ithaca, he's politically invulnerable.

Carl Rove, sue his ugly arse on defimation of character! Only way to shut up stupid liars, make them PAY>

Oh, I am so fumed over this stupidity.

Burkett was the central character in this. Now no mention of him in the retorts to Hinchey. This is utterly infuriating.

How can they loose sight of Burkett's involvement, and Mape's admission that she got the faxed memo from him??? THAT is the contradiction to Hinchey's asinine theory!

As noted many, many, times before, Hinchey is the elected Member of Congress for Ithaca, the City of Evil.

Hinchey may not want to go down this road.
(See article below line)

BECAUSE- If Burkett got those memos from a political big wig....it would be Howard Dean or John Kerry, via David Van Os.

David Van Os was Burkett's atty. several years back. He was also a Democrat Party County Chair down in south Texas. He was also running as a democrat for the Texas Supreme Court in 2004.

Van Os also worked with the campaigns for both Dean and Kerry.

When Burkett got busted...Van Os showed up, after years of not working for the guy, and set up damage control as Burkett's spokesfool.

Why would Van Os risk being connected to that loon...when at the time of Memogate...VAN OS WAS RUNNING FOR TEXAS STATE SUPREME COURT???

IT MAY BE BECAUSE Van Os realized he needed to cover his own a--!

Keep in mind that the Prowler folks at American Spectator
stated they had a source from the DNC that said the documents were in the hands of the DNC...and the higher ups were trying to figure out what to do with them...

Washington Prowler
Anatomy of a Forgery

Published 9/10/2004 12:09:06 AM
More than six weeks ago, an opposition research staffer for the Democratic National Committee received documents purportedly written by President George W. Bush's Texas Air National Guard squadron commander, the late Col. Jerry Killian.

The oppo researcher claimed the source was "a retired military officer." According to a DNC staffer, the documents were seen by both senior staff members at the DNC, as well as the Kerry campaign.

"More than a couple people heard about the papers," says the DNC staffer. "I've heard that they ended up with the Kerry campaign, for them to decide to how to proceed, and presumably they were handed over to 60 Minutes, which used them the other night. But I know this much. When there was discussion here, there were doubts raised about their authenticity."

The concerns arose from the sourcing. "It wasn't clear that our source for the documents would have had access to them. Our person couldn't confirm from what file, from what original source they came from."

I know what you mean, and it seems like every day there is another idiot dem making an idiot statement or conspiracy theory---

I think it was Chrissy Matthews that FIRST came up with the theory that Bush and Doug Wead were in cahoots in making those tapes in order to get peoples attention off of Jeff Gannon--

I didn't think anyone was paying THAT much attention to the Jeff Gannon thing until I saw a thread yesterday that showed a letter written by a "bunch" of congresscritters to Bush saying that he needed to come clean about Jeff Gannon, but if he doesn't, they will request a formal congessional inquiry into the "situation".

Like I said, I am afraid that Alan Colmes better eat his wheaties cause I think he will be doing a lot of flailing around to explain the dems side of these debates! hehe

We been hearing about the "dirty deed" that Rove pulled, for days now. So, this little jerk comes on (invited probably, to help show how demented the dems are...) -- and speaks to the camera and all his little friends sitting in the pubs around his district, like; See, look at me... I'm taking the nasty repubs on....

Wow.

Exactly. But what is so infuriating about it, particularly given that I have the misfortune of being his constituent, is that he will get all sorts of positive feedback and support back in the district and pay absolutely no political price.

In his district. A price will be paid, however, by the Democrat Party as a whole.

I hate to tell you this Fox *ping* person, but I DID sneak a peek at Chrissy Matthews show this evening and he had on Charlie Rangel and some guy from a group that is like AARP except FOR the Bush SS plan---

Anyway, Chrissy had Rangel and he debating this for two segments---I kept screaming at the TV for Chrissy to ask Charlie about his statement yesterday or today about how we shouldn't call Islamic terrorists, Islamic terrorists because it is racist---

Well, what do you know, Chrissy must not have heard about that statement by Charlie, because darn if he didn't even ask him about it!!!! I wonder why?

Maybe because it is as insane of statement as Hincheys is re: the Rather memos!

I saw some of the interview and this guy is a loon.
Karl Rove is now the mastermind behind anything that goes on.
I heard someone say Rove was behind those tapes of Bush being released. Please give me a break.
It is absurd to think that Rove would be behind those fake Guard documents. That thing could have gone either way and only the swift investigation of the bloggers putting the pressure on saved the day on that. Although I doubt that those documents would have thrown the election to Kerry all by themselves.
I had never even heard of this congressman before, well he's now had his 15 minutes. Wonder which of the idiots in the Democratic Party put this guy up to being the one to go out and make that charge?
Anyone in New York state know this Congressman and his district?

You're probably right. People in swing districts across America will see this and be turned off. I'll take consolation from that, and am grateful to you for making the point because I am truly bent out of shape tonight.
