WASHINGTON Today, the Republican National Committee released Off the Record with Chairman Ken Mehlman, the second installment of the web video series. Off the Record, which is available exclusively on gop.com, features interviews with Party leaders, activists, and rising stars in the GOP. In this weeks segment, Chairman Mehlman talks about his vision for the Republican Party, the RNCs role in the 2006 election cycle and some personal history.
Off the Record can be viewed on gop.com and will be emailed to the RNCs 7.5 million eActivists.
Is this the guy the DUmmies think is gay?
Dear Greg,
Hi everyone, it's Mindy and Katie again. Thank you all for making the first segment of Off the Record such a hit! Your interest certainly proved that Senator John Thune of South Dakota is a rising star in the GOP....
(My wife is wondering why I'm getting email from "Mindy and Katie.")
I ask you, ladies and gentlemen, where in the world is Howard Dean, the current DNC Chairman? He is nowhere to be found on any news/talk TV programs. The Democrat Party must be keeping him in the closet. I know he was on a campaign to make upstate New York as blue as can be. Someone should tell Mr. Dean that NY is as blue as its going to get. If he is putting his energy into New York State than he is wasting his time as the Chariman of the DNC!!!
Has anyone seen this chat? Did Mehlman say anything interesting?
It was absolutly horrid. HORRID.
I'm not surprised, having seen Mehlman's statement welcoming Howard Dean to the chairmanship of the DNC.
What is that man smoking?
Can you tell me more?
Yes.
And I personally don't care if he is, as long he doesn't wear the I'm a victim crap on his sleeve (and continues to kick but for the GOP)
I'm not dissing Mehlman, I'm saying the video is horrid. The "off the record" thing is stupid. It looks like something a middle school kid with his parents vid cam would do.
I see.
I know nothing about technology, but it seems to me that Rule Number One should be this: Stay with something tried-and-true, even if it's low tech, unless you KNOW your high tech innovation will also be high quality!
Imagine the worse show you've seen on public access. Now imagine it completely staged while trying to look real.
This is one of the few things that has ever made me embarassed to be a Republican. Why doesn't Mehlman be a MAN about it and let a real journalist hard ball him for 30 minutes to show that he has what it takes to be chairman of the party?
That's a very good idea. If he's so "hardball," he can prove it by doing exactly what you suggest here.
