Reminds me of the true story Paul Harvey told a while back.
It seems that the Frankfurt air controllers are notorious for being snotty and rude to pilots. One day, an American airline pilot contacted air control for landing instructions into the Frankfurt airport.
The air controller said something the pilot did not understand, and the pilot asked him to repeat his instructions. The air controller snapped back "Have you ever flown to Frankfurt before?"
The pilot calmly replied "Yes, I have. In 1944. But I didn't land."
And the next time the Russkies blockade Berlin, they'd better not come crying to us.
ROFL!!!! I loved it!
I was in Frankfurt but I was unimpressed. They would only serve me food at the airport if I spoke Russian.
I read that before. Apparently that's true too.
It's still pretty funny.

Great story Skooz! And way to tell 'em , Captain!! I'll be willing to bet there was a certain period of silence from the control tower before they gave him his vector.
