Here's the CIA Report on Iraq WMD's

This is the report that the CIA released in October of 2002 entitled: Iraqs Weapons of mass destruction programs. It is 26 pages long and in PDF format. The source of this report is the CIA. It is this report that led others to believe that Iraq had many sites that held WMDs. If you put your mindset back to October 2002, this is a scary report to read.
It is strong rebuttal for the people who say Bush Lied, People Died.
I got this report from a Congressman who held a breakfast meeting right after the report was declassified. I decided to put it on the site after tiring of the constant drone of those who blame President Bush for everything.
The link for the report is here
Please let me know what you think.

bump. There have been more recent reports outlining the specific WMDs that have been found. (53+ incidents thus far). A while back I made a post with this link and all the news articles (so you can get both sides) of all the found WMDs. I'll try to find it and add to this thread.
Note:
Does anyone have a link to an article on the discovery in the past few weeks about a chem weapon lab that had perfume bottles in it and plans to send them to US department stores?

Do you notice that you don't hear much talk about the missing WMD now that the election is over?

If somebody sends you that perfume link, pass it along to me please.
Since we've found 4 dozen+ chemical warheads in Iraq, I'm sure that we have somehow managed to find every single one in the entire country.

Seems to leave no doubt in the minds of those preparing this report, that Iraq was proceeding with their WMD programs.

You really aren't still clinging to the hope that one day huge stockpiles of WMDs will be discovered...are you?

"You really aren't still clinging to the hope that one day huge stockpiles of WMDs will be discovered...are you?"
All I know is that small stockpiles of WMD have been found including binary shells which weren't invented until the late 90's. I also know that huge convoys of trucks went out to Syria and Lebanon's Bekaa valley in the months before the most telegraphed war in history. Now those are the facts that we know. Either way, the mass graves and support of terrorism justified this war well beyond what was needed. You're not disputing that....are you?

From an earlier post: No WMDs? The fact is some WMDs were found. Each time there is a find, the definition of WMDs is chagned to continue to make PRESIDENT Bush look wrong. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/1/13/70852.shtml In a secret operation, the United States last month removed from Iraq nearly two tons of uranium and hundreds of highly radioactive items that could have been used in a so-called dirty bomb, the Energy Department disclosed Tuesday. "The nuclear material was secured from Iraq's former nuclear research facility and airlifted out of the country to an undisclosed Energy Department laboratory for further analysis," the AP said. "Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham described the previously undisclosed operation, which was concluded June 23, as 'a major achievement' in an attempt to 'keep potentially dangerous nuclear material out of the hands of terrorists.'"
And if Bush needs more ammunition to refute Pelosi, he could cite the discovery of Sarin gas-filled artillery shells. "We've found 10 or 12 Sarin and Mustard rounds," Iraq Survey Group chief Charles Duelfer told Fox News, after his team uncovered the WMD cache last June. "We're finding things and we're getting reports of hidden caches almost every day which we have to investigate," Duelfer added. And if the White House wants some dramatic imagery to show how easy it was for Saddam to hide banned weapons, how about those photos of the 30 Iraqi jet fighters that weapons searchers found buried in the sand near Baghdad. Here's how the Associated Press covered that development in August 2003: "American teams hunting for Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction found dozens of fighter jets from Iraq's air force buried beneath the sands, U.S. officials say. "At least one Cold War-era MiG-25 interceptor was found when searchers saw the tops of its twin tail fins poking up from the sands, said one Pentagon official familiar with the hunt. He said search teams have found several MiG-25s and Su-25 ground attack jets buried at al-Taqqadum air field west of Baghdad. ..."
The find astonished even then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman, now CIA Director, Porter Goss. "Our guys have found 30-something brand new aircraft buried in the sand to deny us access to them," Goss told the AP. "These are craft we didn't know about."
No weapons of mass destruction? President Bush needs to spend more time examining the evidence and less time working through his mea culpas with Barbara Walters.
We have found at least 53 WMD in Iraq.
Take a look at this CIA report.

Here is the article with the perfume reference (it was buried in an Oil For Food article..)
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,147046,00.html
NEW YORK Richard Spertzel (search) knew from the start that danger lurked in the U.N. Oil-for-Food program.
Spertzel isn't another lawmaker complaining about the multibillion-dollar program. Nor is he a notable critic of all things tied to the United Nations. A recognized expert in biological warfare and bio-terrorism, Spertzel was a U.N. weapons inspector working in Iraq to monitor Saddam Hussein's (search) government.
"I went to the U.N. as a die-hard supporter of that organization. I left as one of its most outspoken critics," Spertzel told FOX News. With an education that includes three advanced biology degrees, he's also worked with numerous U.S. agencies, including the State Department and CIA.
Spertzel led the U.N. biological weapons inspection team in Iraq after the first Gulf War, allowing him to get a closer look at the Oil-for-Food (search) program. Although he said his team used to joke about the program in Baghdad and said the Oil-for-Food team was a joke among United Nations Special Commission inspectors, they soon realized that it was no laughing matter.
"The Oil-for-Food people spent most of their time in the cafeteria, as opposed to being out in the field making sure that the material was going to the locations that it was supposed to," Spertzel said. "It was such common knowledge it had to be known."
.....
The Iraqi Survey Group also found that supposed "humanitarian" imports under Oil-for-Food gave Saddam the ability to restart his biological and chemical warfare programs at a moment's notice. Spertzel said what scared him the most in Iraq was the discovery of secret labs to make deadly weapons like the nerve agent, sarin, and the biological poison, ricin, in spray form.
"If that were released in a closed [area], such as Madison Square Garden or, even some, some of your smaller closed malls, shopping malls, it would have a devastating effect
killing hundreds or thousands," Spertzel said.
But Spertzel believes Saddam was cooking up an even more sinister plan putting the poisons on department store shelves across the United States and Europe. He said that plan was "actively pursued" as late as March 2003. And that plan was at least, in part, funded by Saddam's corrupt Oil-for-Food activities.
"Some of the photographs that were obtained from this same laboratory had multiple different shapes of glass spray bottles, perfume spray bottles presumably to mimic different brand names," Spertzel said. "Can you imagine somebody going into Macy's department store and spray a little bit of a perfume to see whether they like the scent, only instead of perfume they're getting a face full of sarin?
"That would kill within, within a few minutes. If this were to appear at a couple different locations, imagine the economic impact in the U.S. people would be afraid to buy anything."

Another thing we never hear about anymore are those three Iraqi ships always moving, never docking, that were being traced around the world, during the time leading up to the invasion of Iraq. Wonder what become of them?

I would have been fine with removing Saddam for spitting on a sidewalk. If he was doing what he was supposed to do when he was supposed to do it, there wouldn't be any doubts or confusion. That isn't the issue.
The issue is that our so-called intelligence was wrong. Seriously, disturbingly and unacceptably wrong. We didn't go in looking for a couple dozen old mortar shells or empty rocket casings.
It was an extremely serious tactical blunder to make WMD the main point of emphasis. The fact that the Director of Central Intelligence claimed that this was a "slam dunk" boggles the mind.
To: mnehrling
Darn....thanks for all that good information.
The stuff still worries me. It's almost like the X files..the truth (weapons) is out there somewhere.
Will they rise when Saddam comes to trial?

"The issue is that our so-called intelligence was wrong. Seriously, disturbingly and unacceptably wrong." You got that wrong when you say "our". It was the UN and almost every nation involved in intelligence that said he had these weapons. Why don't you wake up!
