---I can safely say that, as a practical matter it can't---
Hey, if one were to plumb a few air hose connections into the car's storage tanks, it could be the perfect vehicle with which to do a "drive-by paintballing". The only problem, of course, is that the more you shoot, the slower you go. D'oh!! :^)
I guess that settles that. 8-)
True, but there *is* at least some advantage in doing that.
One big centralized plant can be both more energy-efficient, and less polluting, than a million little engines on each and every car, and at lesser total cost.
For example, this is why electricity for homes is generated in a few huge high-tech plants per city, instead of every home having its own fuel-powered generator.
Compressed air? Aw man, that *blows*!
unfortunately its idiots like you that have us in the bind we are today with fossil fuels near depletion. any moron who needs to drive a silverado has an agenda. probably to compensate for other "small things" in their lives. this is actually a brillinat idea. Yes, i will agree that the problems are there for a potential problem with explosion if its in an accident. But if they could come up with something to do away with that hazard our kids will children and grandchildren may have hope for the furure. but you seem like the kind of selfish idiot who either doesn't care or can't find a woman who wants to procreate with them anyway. Please excuse these people for thinking of the furure and not wanting to rape you in the pocket in the process. Their agenda seems harmless to me. Just sorry that it doesn't fit your agenda of driving around in a gas guzzler with your "small package".
Problem is any air cooling device added to cool the passenger compartment is impractical. Air supply is the major issue already.
The drive "engine" could just somehow be used to cool the passenger compartment. Now they just need to work on a heating system.
The concept car is pretty neat, but an electric car seems more practical and more safe.
Mr. Fusion's software runs on embedded Java.
Too late. Well you can't say that tomorrow..
ROTF!
,,, somewhere between the US and Africa, not geographically, but demographically, are a spread of countries that are paying a lot for transport fuel. Typically, their roads are similar to European roads, not US roads and people don't travel vast distances. They're not inclined to use or buy a five litre pickup to run to a mall. Can you imagine such a market niche?
Flux Capacitor!
The engineering on those DDD's are impressive!
We do ~ it's the only way to travel.
But hey ~ if they can sell those vehicles and make money in the process, that's what it's all about. :)
Big Boom! :)
