OK, if you soccer fans are coming out of the closet, you can probably win tolerance, but don't demand acceptance. Personally I don't care what games you watch or play, but don't try to recruit my children. Soccer shouldn't be on family TV, let parents decide how they want to deal with such a sensitive subject...
Look, we're people too, M'okay? I knew I was a soccer fan when I was 12, but I couldn't admit it to anyone, least of all my parents. I even pretended to like Basketball for two years before I got tired of living a lie. Thankfully, I moved to San Francisco and found that many people were happy to watch Soccer with me, and with a variety of friends. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I wish you could understand and that's why I've invited you to the Soccer Pride festival.
