The teacher was probably a flaming,liberal, America-hating, commie-kisser who AGREED with what the children wrote. He/she wouldn't "correct" anything, he/she would send the letter on its merry way hoping to hurt the heart of someone fighting for the USA.

Then the teacher should be fired if they have so little good sense.

I was not going to call the school but tomorrow morning I am going to.

I noticed, after reviewing your original thread & letter, that these young ladies could not answer the truths you presented from first hand experience. They did not address the fact that you went into a country to not only protect America, but to protect the innocents in that country from the very same acts they accused you (and the rest of our wonderful soldiers) of.

She says you would like to murder millions. That you do blow up children & rape women. I would challenge her to find the "proof" of these accusations.

Sad, what our young men & women are allowed to believe. And sadder when they come face to face with someone who has been there and lived it and call them a liar.

Allowing teachers to indoctrinate 6th graders in their world view rather than teaching them how to read, write, add and a proper view of history is a disgrace. This is not a free speech issue, this is a wake up call on why NYC students are among the lowest scoring students in the US! Curt

on Hannity it was reported that they were sent in one big envelope...thus, the teacher saw them. The consensus was that adult input was given...too much adult language/left-wing reasoning (I know...an oxymoron) used.

Yes the teacher stated that he had reviewed them but didn't want to restrict their first amendment rights to free speech.

Thank you for your service. I'd be interested to know how such letters came to be sent to you? I'm grateful you had the fortitude to handle them, and I hope all the military personnel who may be receiving such letters are as well-adjusted as you. How is this happening?? I'm so angry I could spit.

There are stacks of letters in boxes in the hangar from kids in elementary schools, high schools, and churches back in the states. You pretty much just grab what you want, and answer them if you choose. I'd say that 99% of the letters and cards were supportive, but there were a few that were critical of the administration, of the soldiers, etc.

I specifically looked out for the ones that were negative and took my time to answer them. I always reminded the letter writer that American servicemen and women had died for freedom and for their right to disagree. I communicated a conservative Christian point of view in my answer and asked for God to bless America.
