Leaders of a U.N. Internet panel yesterday said they hope to set up a global system where cyberspace would be under the control of the United Nations.

Nope, this will happen the day I have sex with Janet Reno and Ted Kennedy apologizes to the country for Mary Jo.

I'm not surprised one bit; in fact, I've been expecting this for a long time.

The time is coming when free people of the world will have to forcibly remove the abomination of the UN from it's pedestal before it is too late.

"There is an issue that is out there and that needs to be resolved," Nitin Desai, chairman of the panel and special adviser to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, told Reuters

Yes, "there is an issue out there" -- the power and desires of the worthless U.N.

H.R. 1146 will withdraw the USA from the United Nations’ madhouse/cesspool.
Go to: http://www.getusout.org/un/index.html . Then go lobby at http://www.conservativeusa.org/megalink.htm . Email President Bush at president@whitehouse.gov . White House comment line is 202-456-1111.
The United Nations is a corrupt disgrace and it is time for the USA to WITHDRAW from and defund the United Nations. Please tell your senators, congressmen and everyone you know to support H.R. 1146 which would WITHDRAW the USA from the United Nations, prohibit US funds going to the UN and prohibit US troops serving under UN command. H.R 1146 is the American Sovereignty Restoration Act.
The whole mission of the UN is to take power, money and national sovereignty from the USA. Thus the United States must withdraw from and defund the UN, a worthless organization, and if we go, if we are lucky, the whole thing will implode.

the International Telecommunications Union can't get off its butt to decide anything. It takes years for them to decide on new standards for equipment or to regulate new methods for communications. look at CAT 5 or 5e cable: they still have not gone beyond this mark though new technology has gone beyond this level but they have been wallowing for years.

Let's see, they also demand a world tax on every human being, paid directly...whether any countries agree or not. An organization composed of thieves, thugs, and murderers by at least a third. They all hate us. They want UN dominance, period. A global nightmare.

Oh I'm sure the crooks in the UN would love have control of the internet so they could shut down the free spread of information.

Hope I never see the day they get their way!

At the first World Summit on the Information Society in 2003, French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin called for international rules to govern the Net.

"yesssss, and pleeeeze, " said frenchie french, "we would like all zee world's banks to be lodged in gay paree, where, naturellement, we will administer ze money to zee rest of zee world. after all, even saddam hussein deserves a room with a view."

What if we could convince the left that the true home of the UN should be France, that they're too many cowboys in the US for true, limp-wristed collectivist dialogue to take place? If the seed could be planted among the globalist types that France is the true and proper home for this monstrosity, maybe they would move it of their own accord.
