I think if it were my daughter, I would do whatever possible to get her out of the hospital, take her to my home and care for her myself. I realize it would probably take a court order and wonder why her parents don't pursue that avenue?
All of this legal wrangling ...
A whole bunch of white collars showed up in the streets, communities, elevators and offices when the 2000 election of President Bush was threatened ... What keeps an army of determined, loving people from going up to the 5th floor (I don't know ... just a guess) and taking Terri right out the front door into a waiting ambulance?
An OJ type 'chase' would ensue and THE WORLD would be forced to hear her plight.
They have been fighting tooth-and-nail for ten or twelve years now to do just that.
They've tried, but the husband is her legal guardian. And speculation goes that he doesn't want her to get better because then she might tell the world how she ended up in this condition in the first place. It's just an awful legal mess and tragic for Terri, IMO.

Terri's parents have tried every imaginable way to get Terry in their care. They would take her home in a heartbeat, but they have to beg Terri's husband even to be allowed to visit.
