Flying saucers and strange beings who have visited Earth aren't the typical topics reported by Peter Jennings, anchor of ABC's "World News Tonight." Jennings, whose new two-hour special tackles the subject of UFOs, admits he and his production team began the project with doubts and a dose of curiosity.
"We have a lot of skeptics -- I am very skeptical -- but we seriously investigated something a lot of people are serious about," he said. "And when we come to the end, this is wonderfully interesting.
"More than 80 million Americans believe intelligent beings from somewhere else have come here," he said. "Forty million believe they have seen UFOs, so this is of deep interest to people."

Not really. Bryant Gumbel did those shows on the SciFi network about the supposed UFO crashes at Roswell in 1947 and Kecksburg, PA in the 80's.
AFAIC the "X-Files" is better than Jennings. So is the "UFO Files" doco series the History Channel runs on Monday nights.

It really should NOT amaze me any more . . . this human phenomena of those who seem to know the least being so hellbent on displaying their 'knowledge.' But the UFO topic sure seems to attract a lot of them and of a particularly obnoxious flavor.
Am beginning to wonder more about the origin of such fierce stances. I think the best explanation seems to be something related to fear of the major paradigm shift involved. Most of us don't like that kind of change. But some must be very, very, very, terrified of it. Fear is the author of a GREAT NUMBER of attacks on those perceived as different from the attackers.
But, I don't suppose we should be overly weary of such hapless blokes. Given that The Bible says of our times, 'men's hearts will fail them for fear.'
I do think that whatever the complexity of truth turns out to be . . . and however many stages it takes to be exposed . . . folks who've been deeply entrenched in such attitudes and given to such unwise hostility and attacks will likely have the very worst time adjusting. On that score, they probably warrant our prayers more than our well earned boots-in-the-butts. Besides, hereon, that's the mods' jobs--LOL.
One might sometimes also wonder, though . . . will such classes of people become more slaves . . . or food?

But Gumbal is likely to be perceived more as a 'morning show lightweight' compared to an evening news anchor.
I agree that the History channel shows have been persistently revealing bits and pieces rather tenaciously, it seems . . . very, very, very incrementally.
I don't think we know what's BETTER until after we see Jennings' show.
Thanks for your kind post.

Now he's an "Evening Lightweight", lol!

I don't know. I don't keep up with the talking head stooges very well at all.
I just have it filed in my misc surface stuff data files that Gumbal is rated by the public as lower ranked than what's his farce.

Yes, and why is it that the "aliens" only visit trailer parks and farmers (no offense farmers, I was one myself) and never make it to Stephen Hawkins place?
When I was about 10 my parents got really pissed at me because they swore there was a UFO over our barn and I couldn't "see" it. There was nothing there but this was during one of the big UFO fads of the late 60's.
Anyone that has had cattle die on their farm would know that the varmints eat the soft parts first. This (IMHO) explains the cattle mutilations.
I often wonder about other life out there and why we haven't heard any evidence of it. I have found the best explanation (and do not remember where I read it) is that the wise chicken doesn't peep when there is a hawk around.

Surely you wouldn't suggest that this is a mere ratings grabber? That the Lame Stream Media would ignore really important stories just for ratings? Are you a Petercist?

No, I just think that Peter is a cyst in the body politic; harmful to healthy functioning of that organism.

My son has a TOP SECRET CRYPTO clearance. He sends and receives radio signals for the U.S. Navy. I don't recall him saying anything about the UFO's but then he wouldn't have had to. He knows I am a Mason and already know all about them. On the other hand, maybe the PUPPET MASTERS have gotten to him. He always liked MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE when he was a kid.

It may have been a mistake on my part but, I assumed you might have something to back up your claims. Otherwise you wouldn't have made them.
If you have hard evidence, I'm willing to listen.

I collect puzzle pieces.
Dr Stephen Greer reportedly has quite a sizeable collection of hard evidence from folks working in the field. Understandably he's withholding it until they are granted Congressional Immunity from prosecution.
My relative's work in the field is sufficient for me. I don't have trouble trusting what he said on the basis of my relationship with him and knowledge of him.
And that's WITHOUT tons of other puzzle pieces saying essentially the same thing.
But, you are welcome to maintain your construction on reality.
As my Mormon Bishop Dissertation Chairman remarked when I queried him about how he navigated the different versions of the Book of Mormon which supposedly had never had any changes--he replied:
LIFE IS SO COMPLEX, JUST ABOUT ANY COCKAMAYMIED EXPLANATION WILL DO.
I don't hold that as much as he evidently did. But it's a good point, nevertheless.

Howdy, Old Friend.
You planning to watch Jennings? I would have doubted you'd bother given your deep skepticism on the topic!
Anyway--miss reading your posts. I trust you and family are well. What threads are you showing up on these days?

Your post indicates a gross lack of well researched info on both UFO's and cattle mutilations.
There are plenty of physicists and the like among witnesses as well as people employed in the field who have spoken up--some on video and in other documentation.
The farmers who have observed the cattle mutilations on their farms 100% as in ALL--a rare statistic--ALL have cited enormous differences between varmit mutilations and the 'other' mutilations. And, when vets have been brought onto the scene post haste, the vets have affirmed that no varmits could have done such.
There have been numerous cases where animals were observed lifted into the sky by unseen means. And that later, the animal had obviously been dropped from high above and there were absolutely no tracks in the snow or mud anywhere near the animal other than the animal's own tracks.
Also, there has persistently been an absolutely uncommon and unfathomable capacity to totally drain the blood from the mutilated animals. The common saying with serious firmness was that there was not a single drop of blood left in the whole animal. Varmits don't do that.
Senator Schmidt sp? of New Mexico sponsored an extensive investigation into the mutilations in our state as there were so many. There was a significant amount of publicity about it from beginning to half way point. Then it began to be clear that nothing very revelatory was going to come out of it. In fact, my own reading on the result was that they found out more than they wanted to find and were desperate to muffle it up as though there was nothing to report.
I don't recall exactly how they did that. But they sure didn't want to go on record about anything very accurate and serious. It was clear to anyone with half a micro-gram of discernment that they had gotten far too close to a topic they didn't want near if they valued their lives and positions.
I now know someone who knows folks who can do some checking on that as well as on Dulce for me. But I have to take it very slow and gently.
